Garion or Sparhawk.

They were written around the same lines but I found Garion more likable. He was a more unassuming, forceful character though I liked Sparhawk alot as well.

I just started reading the Elenium, so I haven't formed a big opinion on Sparhawk yet. I'll post again after I've read them.

Sounds good. Enjoy the Elenium. It's actually very good.

I throughly enjoyed SparHawk, he is definetly a manly man, where as we get to know Garion as a boy for most of the stroy. Then in the second seiries when he is writen as a man, he acts boyish.
So as a man I like SparHawk better, but as a boy Garion rules.

Personally, I remember preferring Sparhawk. He seemed generally more to my liking, more tough and sarcastic. So I preferred him.

I'm rereading the Elenium for the fortieth time and I like Sparhawk as well, except that he goes out of his way to pick a fight. Garion still seems more humble and unassuming, traits I find qualify a good leader/hero.

I liked Sparhawk better, he just did what he wanted and wasn't a kid, so didn't need to be led by anyone else. Sparhawk had more character and Garion was just a bit too childish in the Mallorean.

my favourite is garion. He's really sweet and in some respects a lot more realistic than sparhawk

That was my opinion. I also (with rereading) find Garion more humble. Sparhawk's a little to arrogant for my tastes.

Hmm Sparhawk is slightly better he is seems slightly darker, and has more depth to him, more expeiranced is more human

Garion also seems very human, though. He actually needs help and isn't all powerful (until later) so it makes him seem more real. To me anyway.

Sparhawk, he seems a bit more realistic to me, he has more depth, and his mistakes are fewer than Garion's, but they tend to land him in bigger trouble.

I gotta say Sparhawk, just because of his attitude. Garion's attitude was kinda weak to me...

I dont think Garion's weak, he's less experienced so he's not going to be as confident as Sparhawk.
