Who is he really? Not to much is given out on him. He is a great player in it all and Brandon's "brother". They were close and he saw Brandon as a mentor. But I need to know about him. Tell me all you know about Bunji. Past, present, hobbies, interests, anything you may know. I want to know.

Pretty much what you stated is a lot of what was hinted at for Bunji. They never really showed much of his past, aside from when Brandon started to take him under his wing. And I suspect that if they make a Gungrave: OD anime, there'll be more plot on his past, as it was alluded that Juji was his actual brother. To sum up what I've gathered: Bunji saw Brandon's talent for what it was, and saw him -as you stated - his mentor, his 'big brother' as you will. When Brandon was killed in the name of treachory Bunji's faith in his 'god' was all but destroyed. Hence started his downward spiral of killin' nearly everyone who worked wit' 'em, and absolutely lettin' no one help him. Probably in a sense to prove he is indeed better than Brandon, though despite his attempts he still isn't. Partially not fallin' to the rumors of Brandon's treachory, he sought for himself the answers to Brandon's actions and a sort of complete absolution to find what course of action he - Bunji - should take in his life. But alas, his only goal was to kill Brandon, as he thought he was the only one worth or up to par to kill 'em, even goin' so far as to turn himself into a Deadman to compete on somewhat equal terrain against Grave. in the end though he still lost, but had absolution in the fact he was killed by the one man he deemed worth to kill him, in a flaming battle of glory, passin' on to the next life with his first glimmer of 'happiness' since his days of ol'.

Yay. That was indeed helpful. Thanks. But they did kinda screw people over on making him a mystery. Both Sessy and I tried lookin for info on him and came up with nothing we already didnt know.

yea.... twas so hard.... you'd think they'd have some info on him at the GUNGRAVE website!!!! xp They didn't even have him on the chatacter list!!!

If by the "Gungrave website" you imply the one set up by Geneon who distributes it 'ere in America, no. no they won't have anythin' helpful. ANy company that makes a website based on an anime their producin' tends to only have release dates you can find anywhere else, a few wallpapers that are fairly common, and synopsis' straight from the back of the DVD's themselves.
Bunji is a tricky one to find info on. That 'n also there wasn't exactly a whole lota info in the first place that they put out for 'em in the games and in the anime. So we'll have to wait..and hope that if they do indeed go through wit' a Gungrave:OD anime, more will be explained there. Hopefully. If it's still a 26 episode series, as opposed to doin' a 13 episode set. I can see OD as 13.

well all we do know is that he worked for another crime orgization (lighting? volcano? i dont rember) and that he was brought over to Harrys side with the promise of money, he calls brandon brother out of respect but also mabye because of there simular up brining. way i see it is there story is probly simmular but Bunji did it alone and with out all the breaks harry provided brandon

Bunji didn't work for any other organization, he was hired by Lightning (or whoever) because they heard of his work. Before joining up with Millennion, he was a hitman with superb skills. And he didn't join up with Millennion for the money, he joined up cause he saw what kind of people they were and he knew he would be able to rule because of how the organization worked. Cause if it was anyone else, When Bunji was spotted during the hit, he would've been killed. But Harry told it to him straight and liked his abilities and work something out by showing how the people who hired him were gonna kill him. So instead of Harry killing him, he actually helped him when Harry knew Bunji was there to kill him. So Bunji joined Millennion because of how they were. The cash was just an added bonus.

Alas the trouble with anime based on games vs anime base on manga. You get people like Bunji you want to know more but there's is no more. Which in some ways it good. Remember most Asian culture care more for the unknown more than the known. Putting too much into something is bad. I mean hey what's wrong with not really know where the guy is from. It makes up for a better fanfic right?
There's a few good gungrave fanfics out there too. Sadly the best one I seen is yaoi so I guess I can link you guys too it.

It's true theres like hardly anythin on Bunji, though he's a right awsome character. When a friend of mine started watching Gungrave, he was like freaking out because he couldn't find enough stuff on Bunji because he was like his favorite character. It was funny cause he was constantly freaking out.

Okay, I just placed the Bunji outfit I'm wearing into the arena. So if you all love Bunji, you'll give me a 10. biggrin
Otherwise I'll assume you hate Bunji, you hate Gungrave, and you'll enjoy being shot in the head multiple times. twisted
EDIT: Does anyone here have any good Bunji (O.D. version) pics? I've been looking for one to use as a reference pic in the Arena and so for I've found null. If anyone here can post one that would be wonderful.
