A) War torn, dead, scattered peoples, violent skirmishes?
B) Evolved, peace loving, space explorers, united as a planet. A Golden Era.
C) Alternative, our technology may be advanced, but we live in a medieval society. Or our technology and culture have stalled and has not changed much.
Well I think that every scenerio has a reason to be in that scenario. What do you think will happen over time on Earth? I think things will pretty much be the same, but with upgraded technology and prices in certain things will rise, and ordinary citizens will have a harder time paying for their livings. Also I think that the world may be split into two. Not split literally, but some countries will unite with others. War won't be engaged within the two sides but avoided for the first several years or centuries and then perhaps when war does happen it might be the end of us all.

I would react with a "WTF" look. What could I have done to upset them?
A) Yes, they didn't pay their taxes. (Or something else.)
B) In the future I described I'd probably be leading some sort of rebellion against the two parts of the world. Trying to get people to remember the past that was our world. And in the end perhaps I die. Hmm... In the end I get shot by one of them, war engages, our species die out. A new species begins peacefully. (Sorry, I'm not into a "happy" ending type of thing for our races at least
sweatdrop , I always like to end things with a surprise, or a bang.)
C) Learn to pilot a space ship. Who the hell wants to sit around like ducks?
