I met Garth Nix. He's actually very amusing. He came to a book store in the town next to us the day after my birthday. It was so cool meeting him. His speech was very funny and the way he told it seemed like something he'd written. He's very nice.........And I about died when I got to meet him, how many people get to meet their favorite author?

I've not met Garth Nix, or any really famous writer. I'm a major bibliophile, thought. I recently found out that my aunt and uncle ((cool, slightly aged biker relatives who like to dote on me because we have similar intrests)) are living with Mercedes Lackey and her husband!!!! They brought me 7 of her books, ALL SIGNED!!!! I was so happy...I envy my brother becase he got to spend a week with my aunt and uncle ((and thus Mercedes)) and he hates to read! I was like "IT'S WASTED ON YOU!!!!" Anywho...finished ranting. Laters.

We have this thing out where we live for rich old people called the Desert Literary Society and they always have an author come to their luncheon meeting thingies. Anyway, when I was in high school I got to go twice, Once to see Alice Hoffman (she wrote the book that was made into the movie Practical Magic) and another time to see the guy who wrote The Bill from My Father.
One time I also saw the poet laureate of California because he was making a stop at all these rural/small town libraries.
But anyway, there is hope for those of us living in small, ghetto little towns b/c sometimes authors like to visit us too. Of course, I live across the freeway from a lot of rich golfers/seniors/other randomly rich people. In the middle of fricken nowhere. Seriously, almost no one has heard of the town where I live, even 50 miles down the road.

You what?! Oh, I'm massively jealous. I think that if I saw him I might start crying. Just imagine if a fangirl really got to see Sauske. Yea. Just like that.

I got to meet Christopher Paolini (author of Eragon) a few years ago, and, more recently, Chris Crutcher (Whale Talk, King of the Mild Frontier, Athletic Shorts). What is it with me and authors named 'Chris'?
I would love to meet Garth Nix.

I've never gotten to meet an author of any books (That I like )... crying ... I've meet the people that do the voices for Red vs. Blue, I've meet the Blue Man Group, I've also meet the guy that does all the cool sounds in Police Academy (Well, I don't remember meeting him, he held me when I was about 3 days old.)
Oh, I'd so much like to meet Garth Nix, Diane Duane, or Phillip Pullman. So much. xp
Oh! OHH!!
We should make a guild letter and e-mail Nix and ask him to join Gaia, join our guild, and make a personal "Appearance" for interview with guild members.
