Right here are the threads that I have joined into this one so that we aren't as scattered and make easier to rp. Just please indicate at the top of your post where you are by writing the title. Ie. Feilds of Gold:
"Blah blah blah"

Here are the descriptions:

Bookstore:
The bookstore was settled quite contentedly, snug and warmly right at the foothills of the Durem mountain chain that lead through, past Durem to the reaching near the Isle de Gambino. The closest settlement to the store was either the Durem Reclamation Hub, or the Bass’ken Lake where that old fisherman lived. Inside, a recent cleaning had ensued. Fashionably new rugs and fixed up shelving lined the floors and walls respectively. An old man, sitting at a polished and mess-less desk had his crooked nose deep within it muttering all the while. The tinkle did not alert the man.

Field of Gold:
As you have crossed the threshold of the back doors to the bookstore, a grand sight awaits you. Bright sunlight streams in and the scent of magic permeates the air. The field of gold, dotted here and there with colorful flowers and an old oak or so, spread out before you. A golden brown track of worn dirt winds down to glowing areas seemingly far away, what you can make out are two dome like structures and a large cathedral...

Temple Entrance:
Large stone ornamented doors open as you near the temple. Inside you can see the rainbow hued floors from the large stained-glass windows The hall is rather empty where only a glass case holds an old, old book… The Book of Soulkards. On each side (left and right) opposite of the case there are doors, one is gilded and almost too large to be true, while the other looks like any other wooden door. The simple one was a little touched up here and there but it was warm and welcoming, almost meant to be opened; it even had a familiar squeak from so much use. However, the gilded doors on this side of the Temple’s entrance has a foreboding aura. And if you listened closely with your ear to the door, you could hear an all manner of sounds: Slithering, the clack-clacking of claws the scribbling of nails on stone? This is entrance to the East Wing, ( Cave of Beasts. )

West Wing of Temple:
This room was hidden by a simple door to the east, ironically. The rectangular room is well furnished, warm poufs and sofas, plush chairs and a nice crackling fireplace. Most of the room is bathed in red, warm colors. Low bookcases along the stone walls hold hundreds of old, and some new books. A writing desk sits along an empty space by the walls under the two large windows which display the sunlight and the sparkling dome. This is a wonderful place for studies and research, even so at night a ghost forms and rocks in her ghostly rocking chair by a ghostly fire in the fireplace when a real fire is absent.

(( Right I'm setting everything and here's the first post! Hehe I'll check back for some action later on! Oh and please I request that you disable your signature here. Thanks bunches!! ))

The Bookstore:

A gaudily dressed Mia, in a screaming lime green and purple egyptian-esque attire, waited almost impatiently for all the guests to arrive. She sent out golden hued invitation cards in the shape of a Soulkard to all the people she had found out carrying a Soulkard. The west wing of the temple was all bedecked out in streamers, set with a manner of decor for a party. It was simple and it was, hopefully thoughtful. Everyone could meet and greet for the first time or, just see each other, and perhaps all learn something new, if they had no idea what they've come across.

Thank the divine that Garuda had the abillity of finding the Soulkards and where they've fallen to. Speaking of which... Where in all the realm was he? Still, in all likelihood in his room, debating on taking his staff everywhere? What was so important about it anyway, it was as if he was insepreable to it.

Cordelia pushed the now quite familiar door to the just as familiar bookstore open. She head the faint jingle of a bell above her head, signaling to the keepers of the shop that a customer had arrived.

She had been surprised when she had recieved the golden invitation. She had for some time puzzled over how Mia had managed to get her adress, she was quite sure that she had yet to give it to her, until she had noticed that the invitation was to people with soulkards. People. As in more than one. So she was not the only one!

Whenever she had a spare moment in her busy schedule, her thoughts would often wander to the soulkard she now always carried around with her. She had often wondered if there were other kards like hers. All she had to go by was the vague and riddle-like answers Mia had given her the last time they had seen each other, in the temple entrance. She had debated to and fro if it was possible or not, but in the end, she had come to no conclusion. But the golden invitation she now held in her hand was the answer to her debate. She was not alone.

Biting her lip slightly as she looked around in the slightly dark bookshop, waiting for her eyes to adjust to the sudden change of lighting, she saw, well... rather heard, that there was already someone here. As her eyes had finally adjusted, it didn't take her long to rekognize the bouncing woman. "Mia!" she said as her face broke into a warm smile. "It's so nice to see you again!" looking around she continued "It has been some time... am I the first to arrive?" her eyes had lingered at Mia's choice of clothes for only a few seconds. She was already getting used to her rather special taste in clothes.

((I'm heading off to bed now... I just wanted to make a post... so postie =0! *shoots it off* oh... also... I already HAVE a mooblet... am I still allowed to "compete"...?))

(( hehe yes. I love my odd, bouncy Mia. And of course you can compete, you just won't be eligable to win a mooblet. by the way you forgot to put where you are down but thats ok. we haven't started moving around much so I don't mind. gotta indicate where you are if you've moved off. ^^ ))

Mia squealed happily as Cordelia stepped through the door. She had just finished talking to the old man at the desk, reminding him that there are 'friends' comming over for a party that she was holding. Not to mention the fact that he was not to leave his post.

"It is so! Come in and lets wait for the others!" she took a deep breath before continuing, "And oh my gosh you are the first! I'm so happy. I did hope that the invitation reached you in time, and the others in fact. I didn't think I got them all out in time." She managed with that breath, before adding, "Oh and by the way... how's my outfit?"

Mia twirled with girlish pleasure and the dress flared only a little as since it was ancient egyptian like and most notably those clothes were usually tight fitting as such was with hers. Naturally she always had bare feet and her coined anklets she always wore chinkled merrily.

"I guess this is the place..."
The red-head sighed, looking at Leeter (who was trying and failing to sit/cling on her shoulder). He only nodded.

The invitation had been random - completely out of the blue. It came unnoticed in the mail; she had made a grab for it and ran up to her room.
So that's what he is, she had thought.
Leeter was curious as well. He needed to know where he had come from - why was he here - were there more like him?
There seemed to be, if the card-like invitation implied what it was meant to.

The twelve-year old took another gulp of preparation, and opened the bookstore door with a tinny jingle.

There were two woman there - one was talking animatedly. Astrum felt shy, and far too young, but Leeter gave her a steady look and she decided it was best to say something.
"Em.. Excuse me? I was... invited here? Er - look - um, here's the invitation," - she reached into a pant's pocket and pulled out the pretty card, handling it like it was a ticket to heaven - "so uh...," she trailed off, nervously as the door shut behind her.

Lily quickly grabbed the door before it shut and pushed it back open, accidently hitting the girl behind it. "Oh gosh! I'm sorry! Are you ok?" she muttered, walking in the door and quickly closing it behind herself. At quick glance, she hadn't noticed the card in the girl's hand. It was gold, like her own. So it wasn't just a prank... or if it was it was a big one.

"Is... Is that an invitation?" Her attempts to get a better look failed, but asking would hopefully confirm her thoughts. Jinging as she rambled about, Lily's purse seemed to fight off her attempts to grab her Soulkard and card. Finally pulling them both out, Lily offered them, faned out, for the girl to see.

((arrg before I could get her later on when everyone was here my mum threw me off the computer. >< ))

Mia turned and grinned openly at the two new commers. Hello! Two more, how many did I send out? She thought to herself.

"Welcome, friends! I'm Mia Sharra and I'm the one that gave you those golden invitations." She struck a little pose as if to feign shy or slight embarassment. "We, at the headquaters are holding a small party, a get together so that we all can figure out what is going on!" She continued walking up to Astrum and noting how small she herself was.

"Well at least for you, child." Mia really didn't have to turn her head to smile down to Astrum; Mia was only about four and a quarter feet high anyway, "And the rest of you. I'm sure you're all so curious as what this is all about. I did mention to bring your... 'Kard', right?" she cocked her head to the side.

"Erm, uh.. y-yeah, it's okay."
Astrum was quite nearly overwhelmed. She wasn't actually hurt - a little startled by how fast everyone did things, but surely not hurt.

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Sharra," she said as loud as she could manage. She had been scolded before for mumbling impolitely, and really wanted to make a good impression on the people that might help her with some information.

"Card?" She looked at the invitation, and then brought out Leeter's old card that his spirit had left behind. I suppose no one can see him when he's like this, she thought, looking at the creature on her shoulder/hiding in her hair, who was looking around curiously. Leeter had a curious look in his lazy eyes, but it lacked recognition.

She turned to both girls, showing them the cards. "My name is Astrum, b-by the way," she said, trying to be bold about it.

Mia had straightened her head as she listened to the adroable child only to c**k her head once more.

"Bah! No need to call me Miss. Mia or Sharra is fine." She smiled a warm smile. Then she gave a double take looking intently, not at Astrum herself but for the spirit.

"My my, he has emerged already! Congradulations my dear." She eyed the spirit form of the Soulkard appreciatively, "Sometimes people can see him sometimes not. It depends on how much belief a person has in the supernatural. Of course, that Soulkard chooses them. Then they have no choice."

"Alright, Mia." Astrum smiled back - shyly - before gazing, cross-eye up, following her gaze to Leeter, who looked stunned.

"Oh, you can see him too? Oh, I s-see, ... So he is a Soulkard? And that's why I can see him?" Her brain galloped to process this. This woman obviously knew what she was talking about! Thank god, I've come to the right place...

Leeter himself was quite shocked, and stared at the woman as though she had just revealed that the secret of the universe was truly 42.
She can see me... He made a face at her from inside the cornucopia's husk, sticking his tongue out and crossing his eyes - as though to check the validity of her statement. For a being of glass and alcohol, he was rather quick witted.

Mia mirrored Leeter's gaze for the moment before putting a reassuring small hand on Astrum's shoulder.

"I can help you with about everything, Astrum," she said cheerily, her face breaking back into a grin, "Although, this spirit does seem to be a bit fiesty. Whats his name? Has he told you yet or asked you to name him?"

((Haha, I need to post that entry up. XD He has, so let's pretend it's already happened since I'm not really done with it yet, but I should be in a few days.))

"Oh, uhm." She wondered - should she tell this pretty lady?
It wasn't like Leeter's name was a secret. Astrum just felt like it was breaching a promise.

"He told me that his name is Leeter, so that's what I call him." She said this without stuttering - a win for her dignaty. She grinned at her own bravado.

Leeter nodded his tiny head, and, opening his miniscule mouth, he tried to say, "Yes, I am Leeter." However, nothing came out but a wisp of air. The spirit didn't really have vocal cords.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 22, 2006 5:52 pm

(( hehe. its ok. ^^ Its up to you if the spirit can talk or not. Ladyumbra's Spirit can. anyhow i'm going to move things along to the Temple's wing. ))

Mia nodded in understanding. "Welcome Leeter." She stepped back and looked to everyone gathered so far. She waited a moment before taking a breath.

"Alright everyone! I think you all might be hungry so we can all go to the room I've prepared and we'd dine on wonderful snacks!" She added with a giggle, "Garuda has been up preparing things and I hope you'll get to meet him! Just follow me, please!"

With that she turned and followed the string of signs she had put out for guests to follow.

((Sorry I'm late. School has kept me busy.... and I wanted to search a perfect dress for her. wink ))

Bookstore:

Awae felt ashamed for being so late. She did had some problems finding here and she needed to be careful with her dress, that it wouldn't get awfully dirty or anything. She wasn't perfectionist but the invitation card she has gotten, seemed quite formal party invitation card. That's why she had dressed fancier today. Her dress was like from rococo age, though not so detailed like usually those dresses were. It was made mostly of sky blue satin with some rose red decorations. (Like this but in colours mentioned before.) Of course she had got some gazes, walking around in dress like this. It was shrugged off soon, with thoughts that she was going to masquerade ball or something.

Anyway, now the bell rang, informing that another quest had arrived in the bookstore, the place where the party was going to be hold. Awae smiled nervously, apologizing silently when she wandered carefully inside. She was blushing, at least it appared so. Or maybe she was just having that much make-up?

What she herself felt, was embarrassement. Oh my, she hoped that she wouldn't look ridiculous now. Not only she feared that she was in wrong place, she also feared that she had broken the dressing code. Her father was a strict man, he would have not liked if her adopted daughter made herself look like a fool. She decided to stay silent and watch, just in case she had done something wrong now. Better stay silent than draw unwanted attention on her, eh?

Oh please, for his father's sake. She hoped that everything would work just fine.
