For a very confusing and yet powerful technique that I'm developing, I've begun tons of study into alchemy, the astral plane, and Reiki. Of course for my technique I'll be taking advantage of Reiki's evil counter-part, a universal negative energy as opposed to the universal positive energy of Reiki.
My question that I posed continuously, though, was- What exactly is Reiki? Every article you find says it's just a universal force that the practitioner channels into and directs. Well I wondered exactly where (on the planar level as well as the physical one) this energy exists, EXACTLY how the gateway through which is travels is created (as opposed to the method of visualizing, I'm curious of what these visualizations actually perform), and whether or not it truly is infinite. I know that Reiki's evil counter-part will follow the same rules, so the more I understand the better I am.
In a Reiki attunement and in using Reiki, one must open the gateway to Reiki and then let the Reiki energy fill them. One common method is to imagine a lotus flower on your head through which a golden light pours in. This golden light fills up your body and you use it to heal people. Nifty, yes? But that doesn't explain why Usui could heal people by will alone without the summoning or manipulation of this energy, and it doesn't explain where this energy COMES from.
As for how Usui heals people with will alone- I've discovered this. As well, I've discovered why so many schools of Reiki can practice differently but all work. Reiki is a far more complex topic that what any school touches on, and all of these schools merely focus on visualizations. Our mind subconciously does the rest. Usui willed the person to be healed, so without thinking about it he manipulated all energy as necessary to heal them. Many people who teach Reiki will say that if you want someone to be healed you need only send them Reiki energy and the Reiki does the rest. Not so! You're the one controlling the Reiki energy without even realizing it. The symbols are the same. You can use a number 4 instead of a Cho Ku Rei and so long as in your mind it has meaning, imaging that number will imbue that meaning. These symbols are nothing more than visualizations. When we think about the Cho Ku Rei we expect it to make the Reiki energy more powerful, so we subconsciously make the Reiki energy more powerful.
That's all pretty amazing stuff, yes? But I recently had a crazy discovery. One I can't make heads or tails of, and one that might be frightening. I wondered just where this energy comes from, so I decided to astrally project myself mid-way through a self-attunement and go through the gateway. I was going to, once and for all, figure out just what's on the other side of the gate through which we summon Reiki.
When I walked through the gate, I saw nothing but desolation. A completely empty world. There was no grass, no trees, no people, no animals, no sun, no moon, no stars. There wasn't nothing, there just... wasn't anything.
I don't know what to make of this, honestly. Could it be that Reiki is extracted from this world? Or could it be that we create Reiki at the gate, rather than drawing it from this world? Or are we running out of Reiki in the world? Does pulling positive energy from this world leave negative energy? Would pulling negative energy from it therefore leave positive energy? My biggest question was- where was that place?
I'm honestly in over my head. If anyone would like to help me solve this mystery please PM me or IM me or post or something. If you wish to see the desolate world, you need only astral project half-way through a self-attunement and walk through the gate which you've summoned the Reiki energy from (a lotus flower, commonly).
