Today, I really got to thinking, you know those times where your thoughts stray so deep you unearth feelings you'd never brought to focus before...? Well...that happened when I was released from school...and I walked by the creek/river that runs through the woods surrounding my home. I've been to so many places, seen so many beautiful places in the USA, but there is still so much to see, and not just here in my home country.
It saddens me that the beauty I see now...could never be in the near future. I want this life I see about me to stay...exist for the children of the years to come. I'm still only 16...but I've been thinking a lot about seeing the world. Next year I'm going to London, France, Switzerland. It's almost a desperate act, like I'm sensing the world out there won't last for much longer.
I feel silly for getting depressed over something so many years ahead, but time flies, and the treasures of the world we have so covoted...what will happen to them...?
I don't want the world to die...because I want the memory of the land that I have come to love to live on in the eyes and hearts of others just as fortunate as I. I just won't be able to live easily, knowing that the world I'd loved and adored, will fade away, to a nightmare I could never imagine.
That's my reason, what's yours...?

I know how you feel, I feel the same way about my home town. But someone's gotta pay the pipper for humanity's careless mistakes, and who can do that better then future generations. *sarcasm*

The main problem is that, while they CAN, they DON"T, they sit on their butts and do really rich people things...(talking about the proverbial In Charge People...lol)

Muse of Carrots The main problem is that, while they CAN, they DON"T, they sit on their butts and do really rich people things...(talking about the proverbial In Charge People...lol) I wonder if I was rich, or had some sort of "power" over this world, that would I still feel the way I do now...? I'd like to be sucessful in my future, so that I can spread the word more effectively, or simply just dish out some worthy aide. But if I did become...let's say rich, would that change my opinion...? cry

I'm not either, but as long as they don't find out, I'm cool Heh. ^^ You're a teen- well you almost are cool And as a teen you have the obligation to take risks and experience life. Don't hold back. I wanted to sit on the roof and go stargazing one night, so that's just what I did.
