The Yggdrasil Combat Stadium is the training area of Yggdrasil. Many gods and goddesses train here against captured viruses, demons and the like, and spar against each other in order to keep themselves fighting fit should they ever encounter a demon.
Down one end of the Stadium are an assortment of weapons: four, five, six and seven-dimensional polearms, swords and missile weapons such as bows, crossbows, slings, etc. These are blunted for mock-battles and release sharp bursts of energy on contact.
Down the other end is the scoreboard.
The rules are as follows:
When sparring, try not to kill anyone. The punishment for dealing death will be being stripped of your powers.
You may quit a match at any time.
You may use the weapons as you wish.
No godmodding! (Huh...I mean, no omnipotency or invincibility).
Create your own God/Goddess, and remember, win or lose, have fun!

Calisar, God First Class, Type One, Unlimited stood idly by, twirling his five-dimensional longsword. He had recieved his commission as a First Class deity the day before, and was itching for a chance to test out his powers. His angel, Frost's Bite, hovered over his shoulder, bored to tears.

Anju, one of the younger goddesses, stepped meekly into the arena. Her hand held loosely a spear instead of one of the swords, a single pearly wing protruding from her back. Her skills were limited, and she was awarded a second class for terms that were not yet known. Despite such, she faced Calisar, looking at first to his angel, then to him with a small nod, smiling. In the slight movement, the cuffs on her ears caught a gleam of light. A small moment of silence passed between them before her own angel decided to wake, deemed Jupiter after its origin. What Anju seemed to lack in a forward spirit to fight, her angel recovered with an intense stare to Frost's Bite.

"A Second Class deity?" muttered Calisar to himself. Then, he bowed to her and went on, "Just because you're younger than me - and second class - don't think I'll go easy on you. Ready or not...here I come!" Calisar leapt forward with supernatural speed. He fired one of his favorite spells: Snowflake Flurry. A howling wind drove a cloud of razor sharp snowflakes toward his opponent.

cherry_bomber (alias) sat in amongst the croud, that foolish first class (so what!) type one deity brother Calis of hers was such a show-off, "this is what happened last time" she groaned to the person next to her "he gets over confident of his powers, sure he wins all the time but usually finishes half-dead or lying on his back." She moaned into her hand, "and then he'll come crawling to me saying 'oh ladidadida! I won easily' and then faint or something and I'll get all these worried phone calls from his fans while I'm taking care of him, and he'll expect me to pamper him like a prince and dad will blame me for not taking proper care for my older brother!"
Then she sat there watching, stuffing handfuls of six dimensional popcorn into her mouth.
"he'd better not get overconfident!" She spat.

Anju's dark hair flew up and swirled about her head with the sudden change in weather, holding out the staff with the blade pointed towards Calisar to keep herself steady and ready for any duplicate attack. Her face remained somewhat shy even, reclusive thoughts shown through Jupiter as the angel spread a great wing and bent forward, creating a sort of barrier in front of the goddess to shield from the snowflakes, small bursts of light occuring where they collided with the shield.
Swinging the spear behidn her, Anju charged at an alarming speed towards him, matching his steps as the weapon swung around, the long blade coming at a slash towards his stomach, just close enough to graze, Jupiter lashing out to attack Frost's Bite with a surge of heat.

Calisar flipped back, twisting his body to avoid the blade as it sliced across his stomach. Frost's Bite countered with a wall of icy water that froze on impact. It crashed toward Jupiter. Calisar, acting in concert, hurled a Frost Bolt at Anju before lunging with his sword. He meant to strike her on the chest and send her sprawling. The sward was really only for practice and released sharp energy bursts when it came into contact.

As the wall of ice hurled towards Jupiter, the angel folded a wing over its front for protection, ice crashing with a crunch, pushing Anju back to the ground from her leap. Wasting no time, she pushed off again at a jump towards the now advancing Calisar, smashing away the Frost Bolt with a slash of her spear, continuing to spin around with the momentum to attack him with the blade.
The spear struck at his chest simultaniously as hers, a large power burst emitting to send her in a messy roll backwards, feathers coming loose and sailing about as Jupiter attempted to lunge at Calisar's angel.

Frost's Bite conjured a wave of freezing water to crash down on Jupiter. Calisar's breath was knocked from his chest with the blow and he was snet flying backwards and hit a wall. 'Oof!' he grunted, rolling to the ground. 'Glacier Charge, strike!' A solid wall of ice charged into being from some alternate reality and shot at high speed toward Anju.

Coming to a stop with the push of her toes behind her, Anju recovered quickly and lunged back at Calisar as he hit the wall, Jupiter tossing up its arms to catch the wall, the ice melting into icy water before colliding with the pair. Charging the spear and twisting it behind her to launch it, Anju continued her advance towards the still Calisar, Jupiter tossing a ball of fire at his angel.

Frost's Bite sent the fireball careening sideways with an almost lazy flick of his hand. Calisar mirrored his movement and sent another three Frost Bolts at Anju. 'Blizzard!' he yelled, and the Stadium was instantly engulfed in a blinding snowstorm. Being a god that ruled the element of Ice, Calisar could see perfectly, and sumersaulted behind Anju, giving her a sharp poke in the back with his sword, releasing an energy burst.

Ducking her head for a brief moment, Anju watched Calisar vanish in the snowstorm, slowing to a slide across the floor and ducking to avoid the the bolts, the last two clipping her arm and side. Jupiter, having the element of fire, began to up its own strengths and play with the snowstorm, the blinding flakes of ice heating to water. The stadium was now amidst a monsoon.
The poke to her back sent Anju sliding again, falling to the pooled surface of the ring. Jupiter's wing swung around to act as an umbrella while she grabbed the spear and launched off from a crouched position, lifting the spear to slice downwards at Calisar, an enormous amount of energy charged at the tip.

Calisar saw the spear coming at the last moment and barely had time to gasp before a painful wave of electricity discharged itself through his body. He went flyinbg back with a wail that shook the Stadium to its foundations and disappeared into the snowstorm.
He lay there for a moment, catching his breath. "Heavenly Strike!" he shouted, and with the last of his power, called down three enormous Frost Bolts from the sky. They smashed into the ground and a wave of energy rushed across the Stadium, coating everything in a layer of ice. Calisar was unaffected by the vicious spell.

Continuing downards in the thrusting momentum of her attack, Anju landed on the ground in a kneel as he flew back, the snow of the storm turning to rain before it it the surface, erupting in the sound of water hitting the flat surface of the stadium foundation.
Standing up, Anju began to advance towards Calisar, slipping a bit from the ice and cold water, her concentration on balance giving him time to attack with the last bit of energy. Glancing up just as the bolts came crashing from the sky, Jupiter quickly wrapping a wing around her as a protective cuccoon, Anju and her angel became entrapped in the ice like a bizarre sculpture standing in the center.

Grinning from ear to ear, Calisar and Frost's Bite walked up to the giant icicle. Touching a finger to it, he enforced the ice with magic to make sure that Jupiter wouldn't be able to burn her way out. The power of a God, First Class streamed from his hands and the ice glowed.
Setting his sword upon the surface of the ice, he spoke in ringing tones, "You are trapped. Yield."
