Anyone ever play either of these excellent SRPG's for the PS2? These games are so much fun, they contain a lot of wacky humor and rarely take themselves seriously. Also, the game actually wants you to be overpowered (Highest level obtainable is Level 9999), gang up and beat the living crap outta your enemies. Not to mention in these games you can create your own army and tailor it to your style of battle, and you can level up your equipment and items as well as your spells, attacks and characters. The game's look is heavily influenced by anime (Actually there is a Disgaea anime coming out soon) and all the sprites in the game have a very cartoony look to them and look pretty cute. I highly recommend checking these games out if you like games like Final Fantasy Tactics.

Oh and just some stuff on the second one:

The sequel isn't really a sequel, it's got it's own story and everything and has very little connection with the first one, (The manga for Disgaea 2, will have the story that connects the 2, but that's not coming out til next year) only with the characters from the first game making cameo appearances. However... playing the first game may explain a few things in the sequel.
