He didn't have many possessions to place on his half of he dorm. He'd never held stock in owning objects. Yyou couldn't take them with you when you died so what was the point?
He tossed his duffel bag of clothes into the closet and sat down at the desk to stare at the blank wall idly until his roommate showed up.

((Hope ya don't mind if Gabriel sets up in here ^^ If ya do just lemme know. I'll put him somewhere else))
Gabriel looked up at the number of the dorm room then reached into his pocket to check the number he had recieved...the two where the same. Gabriel let a soft sigh slip past his lips as he took the door handle and slowly opened up the door. Peeking his head inside. His large eyes looking around curiously..his eyes where not fancy by any means..infact they where actually grey in color. His blonde hair fell carelessly down the sides of his face as he peeked in. Wearing no more then a long sweater that covered his hands and a pair of loose blue jeans, kept up of course by a belt.
"Um..Hello..."
Gabriel turned his head slightly to notice the man that was already inside of the room. He sighed and let himself inside. Shutting the door behind him. He hoped this guy was nice and wouldn't pick on him. Gabriel looked down to the floor as he played with the peice of paper in his hands.
"Um..Sorry to bother but..I think your my new roomate..."

Vade leaned back in the chair and studied the kid who was standing by the door. The kid was small, probably about a foot shorter than him.
"Eh? Right then. It's no bother. The name's Vade, yours?"

Gabriel was definatly skiddish. He thought that this was going to be an encounter he regretted but it seemed not. He looked up slowly but didn't keep eye contact.
"Oh um..N-Nice to meet you Vade..My name is Gabriel. Um..."
He really wasn't good at conversations either. Gabriel reached up and rubbed the back of his messy blonde hair lightly before looking over at his side of the room which was absolutly bare...He aunt and uncle said they would bring along his belongings in the morning. Though he hadn't packed much...He was just happy to get out of that house.
"So um...what brings you to this high school.."

Vade raised his eyebrows at the peculiar way this kid was acting. Shrugging to himself he stood and leaned against the frame of the loft.
"Me? I dunno, s'pose I'm just passin' through," Vade said this off handedly, but it wasn't the truth. "And you?"
He was beginning to see that neither of them were keen on making small talk. At least they had something in common. He reached into his pocket for a cigarette and then remembered there was someone else in the room.
"Right then, what are the rules for smokin' in this place anyways?"

"I'm uh...I was sorta forced to come here by my aunt and uncle...They think it'll erm...straighten me out..."
He went over to the bed and took a seat down upon it. He turned his head to look up at Vade and looked over at the cigarette.
"Oh um..I don't mind so long as the window is open."
Gabriel stood up and moved over to the window and opened it up. He sighed and smiled abit as he looked outside.
"I hope this school year is gonna be good..."
Gabriel turned and took another seat on the bed.
"Um..so..how old are you anyway Vade?"

Lighting the cig, he collapsed back down onto the chair he'd previously occupied and took a long drawl.
"How old do i look? No...wait...don't answer that. I'm eighteen. So to uh...straighten out eh? I dunno you don't look so tough to me...probably a real scrappy fighter..."
Vade looked at Gabriel and took a moment. He was missing something, that much was for sure. Shrugging it off he glanced around the room and the lack of possessions they both had.
"Oh yeah, we're a cheery lot," he muttered and also turned his gaze out the window.

"Eh heh.." Gabriel couldn't help but chuckle abit.
"Actually No..I've never been in any fights before..well..I mean I have but..I've never wanted to fight...and I've ended up being the one beaten. No thats not why I'm here..."
He sighed and looked to the side. Shaking his head abit. He didn't want to talk about it..it was evil..his aunt and uncle told him that on more then one occassion.
"Your alot older then I am..I'm only sixteen. But..mn..I hope we can become really close friends!..I'd really like to have a friend that can help me out...Ya know?"
He smiled softly as he heard a knock at the door. Gabriel stood up and answered it. Surprised to see his aunt and uncle standing there. He blinked and gasped abit.
"Eh..Aunt Miriam...Uncle Joe..."
The woman that stood there was...needless to say..very well fed...she also had a very tacky sense of fashion. Wearing a long blue dress with white dots. Her hair was grey and she wore large cat eyed glass's. The older woman looked around the dorm before heading inside.
"Gabriel this is your room hmn?"
She looked over to vade then sharply looked over to Gabriel.
"You better not screw this up!"
"Eh!..I won't Aunt Miriam I swear!"
Gabriels eyes went abit wide as he took a few steps back. He seemed to be very scared of his guardians.
An older man entered with a few suitcases. He was dressed in a brown suit and seemed to be a man of bussiness. He set the suit cases down and took the pipe he had out of his mouth and looked around.

Vade stared perplexed by the people who'd just invaded the room. He remembered the cigarette in his hand and tossed it out the window for good measure.
these people...gabriel's aunt and uncle weren't the kind of people Vade typically liked to associate with or be associated by. He didn't like the air about them.
He thought about what Gabe had said before these two characters showed up and thought he was starting to get the picture.
Vade stood and stepped in front of Gabriel to introduce himself, feeling the tension radiating between the woman and Gabe.
"Oi, m'name's Vade Blader. I'll make sure the kid stays out of trouble and the like yeah? So's you don't have to worry none," He held out his hand to the man.

The woman looked over at Vade as he stepped between her and Gabriel. She looked at him harshly. She just ignored him as she turned and headed out the door.
Uncle Joe smiled and took Vades hand with a smile.
"Ah well I do hope that you do. I'd really hate to have to send him off into the military to straighten him out. Please forgive my wife. She's not normally the type to talk much unless its yellin."
Uncle Joe smiled and put the suit cases onto the bed.
"Well I do hate to cut this short Gabriel but your aunt and I are heading off to the bahama's. Be sure to write once you get settled in. Oh and don't think that just because we aren't here that you can...You know..."
Uncle Joe turned to Vade and smiled again. "T'was nice to meet you Vade."
With that he turned and left with the fat aunt.
Gabriel sighed and hung his head as his aunt and uncle left. He looked up to Vade. Feeling abit confused that he stepped into the middle.
"Eh heh..Thank you very much for that..."

"Eh? What do you mean you get it? Why do you think I was forced to come here anyway?! You've probably got the wrong idea!"
Gabriel stammered as he opened up his suit cases. Putting his cloths up in the closet and pulling out a few cd's and a portable cd player. He was feeling abit nervous. Vade couldn't have figured it out that easy could he?!

Vade was taken aback by the reaction Gabriel had. He stood still for a moment and squinted, trying to think of the right response.
"Uh...listen boy-o i didn't mean to suggest nuthin'! I just know folks like that ain't the type of folks you wanna be answerin' to, that's all. I mean, they probably got some stupid idea of what's right and wrong or somethin'."
He sat down on his chair and sighed. oh yeah he was really good with people.
leaning backwards he lit another cigarette to replace the one he'd lost and stared at the ceiling.

He sighed and hung his head abit as he sat back on the bed.
"Well..you've got that part right I guess..."
He sighed and looked up. Putting his cd's on the nightstand by his bed.
"Atleast..thats what they've been telling me for the past six years...I'm just..glad to be out of there.."
He sighed and thought to himself Atleast now I won't be locked in my room all day...

Vade glanced over at Gabriel, knowing how the kid must have felt. People had always been telling him he was wrong. It may have been for different reasons, but at least he knew what it was like.
In an attempt to change the subject, he inquired about the CD collection.
"So uh...what kind o' music do you dig then?"
