{since it seems a lot of charas are artists, i've created art class! Although, i don't know what the guidelines are on being at two places at once? anyone? oh wells ^_^ i'll join up later.}

The art room was decorated liberally with previous student's art and professional pieces hanging from every wall. There are several rectangular tables scattered about the room along with a space for easels and a pottery wheel. There is a kiln located in a small utility room at the back of the class. All supplies are can be found there as well.

Would you be the professor, then? Or is it going to be a sort of peanuts thing? (The teachers are not really characters, they're just there when they need to be, for the sake of realism.)

{you'd have to ask the mod lady, she said she'd fill in teachers where they were needed. otherwise i think just ignoring the presence of a teacher is fine. No annoying trumpety sounds necessary rofl }

(the way this rp is set up, I'm pretty sure being in 2 places at once is ok, considering that every room is it's own thread, rather than the whole thing being 1 thread)

(k cool, then i'm gonna go a head and jump in.)

Vade sat down heavily at one of the tables facing the window and sighed. Art class. He had vowed early on to never take formal art classes, but it couldn't really be helped. It was better than other things anyways. He rested his head on his arms and closed his eyes. He was the first one in the classroom, he had a thing for being early. An instinct to get a feel for his surroundings, check it out, make sure it's not a trap, stupid things like that.

Eiri entered the classroom on smooth strides, taking a place at one of the desks in the back of the room, closest to the back hallway door. Remaining silent, even in the presence of the other student, she slipped a sketch journal from her messenger bag and set it quietly on the table, leaning back to casual scribble doodles in the corners of pages that had already been used.

Vade looked up when he heard someone coming into the class. It was a girl, but she didn't say anything so neither did he. He wasn't usually one to start conversations. He saw her pull out her sketchbook and figured he should probably to the same.

His sketchbook wasn't really a sketchbook, he'd found early on that the grain in the paper was horrible to try to draw on and now used a three ring binder and individual sheets of printer paper.

Sighing audibly, he took it out and clicked his mechanical pencil until lead came out.

Going against all natural instincts, Eiri spoke to the boy in a cold tone that, while still indifferent, was not her usual sarcastic bitchiness. "You're murdering your art like that, you know." She kept her eyes to her own paper, but spoke loud enough for him to her. "Mechanical pencils have a tendency to massacre what could be good art," she shrugged, "Assuming it would be good art."

"Meow," Vade replied, looking up with a hint of a smirk on his face. "Who died and made you the authority on art? Ain't art supposed to be an expression o' one's self? Maybe I like doin' things a bit on the sketchy side."

He could feel the muscles in his shoulders tensing. More people trying to tell him what was right and what was wrong. They were harder to avoid than the plague it seemed.

Eiri stopped drawing and tilted her head to the side. She liked it when people didn't simply roll over and die under the pressure of her hard exterior. She observed with a secret amusement as this artist's muscles tensed defensively against her comments.
"No need to have a tantrum," she told him in an even voice, enunciating slowly, as she sometimes did so that people wouldn't get lost in her accent. "After all, this is the place for constructive criticism." She put her own drawing-pencil down and raised her pale green eyes to watch him fully, "The led in those things doesn't blend. Once its down, you can't do anything else with it," then she shrugged again.

"Blending things never ends in anything worth while anyways," he noted as a metaphor for his own life which he was sure she wouldn't pick up on. He adjusted himself in his seat and leaned forward.

"I'm Vade by the way," he said meeting her pale eyes with his own dark ones.

She stared at him for what seemed like several long moments before replying, "Eiri." She ran a hand through her bright red hair, "I specialize in realism, surrealism, and the occasional 'omigodanimation.'" She scoffed bitterly and rolled her eyes.

"Specialize eh?" Vade leaned backwards in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't much specialize in anythin'. Dabble mostly. Better at the graphic arts than traditional I suppose, but I have me moments of greatness."

He was wondering what was up with this lass. She almost reminded him of himself, and he knew that meant nothing good.

Eiri's drilling stare returned and her voice turned chilling, "Then why are you here? Needed an easy A?" She snorted and picked up her pencil to begin drawing again, "It seems as if nobody takes anything seriously anymore."

"Easy A, I wish," Vade scoffed he knew that no class he was in was going to give him an easy A. "I take art seriously, but it's not me life..." He ws thinking about quoting that one movie and saying 'don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive' then decided against it. There was no need to be a hypocrite here.
