YAY for band geeks! I play trumpet. We're in concert band now, and I'm last chair first trumpet, which I guess is really good for a freshman. I'm also in Jazz Band, and there's a story to go along with that. I had to play keyboard last night in Jazz Band. We had no keyboard players, and plenty of trumpets, so I took one for the team, even though I loge trumpet and played keyboard for the concert. Though my director said that I probably won't have to play keyboard for the next concert, since second semester will be starting and there'll be different people in band.

This is my fifth year playing trumpet, I started in fifth grade, the earliest that band was available. Both my parents played trumpet all the way into college, so it's a kind of natural thing for me.

Sweet, i'm a band geek blaugh I've played the clarinet since grade 6 and have been playing guitar and the tenor sax for 2 years. I'm in concert band and jazz band!! smile Right now we're doing testing crying but for concert band we're going to be trying chicago and (if we're lucky) Phantom of the opera xp

I admit, I am quite a band geek. My main instrumentisthe Clarinet which I have been playing since I wasinfourth grade. This year I took one for the Marching Band and learned how to play the Trombone over the summer.

I'm supprised to see all of these band geeks out here. I would've thought there would've been one or two, but to see this many makes me happy xd It's also good to see the wide instrumentation that has posted so far. (I would like to see another French Horn but it's not likely)



I don't really think there is such a thing as a retired band geek. Once you're a band geek, you'll always be one 3nodding I hope that maybe you might try again in the near future and see if you still have what it takes. Maybe not a flute, but you never know.

I played the Clarinet for my fifth and sixth grade year, in an actual band. I still play my beautiful wood baby but, I'm not to good. My sister's in band, and she was my inspiration. And my personal teacher. But, anyways! Never call a super-bandgeek a bandnerd. O_o They get all pissed off. xD I do that to my sister... =)

Yay! Band geeks! I play the clarinet. I have since fourth grade, which is the first time at my school we can play in Band. I am in concert band, I was first chair of first clarinet in my Jr. High band. Now, I am going to be a freshman in concert, pep, and marching bands. I will be first chair second clarinet then.
