Famously unlike other liquids water contracts as it gets colder. The ice cap might be smaller because it is colder. Why does no-one mention this?

Scientists forecast the ice would go in 15 years, but it has gone now. Huh? If scientists can't forecast the next 15 years properly, why should we believe there forecasts over tens of years?



FLAWED COMPUTER MODELS

Then there are those computer models. Night after night Americans watch the local news as the weatherman predicts what kind of a day tomorrow will be. These meteorologists, using the most up-to-date equipment available, boldly give you the five-day forecast.

But it's well known that, even with all of their research and expensive equipment, it really is just a "best guess." There are just too many variables. If the wind picks up here it could blow in a storm, if the temperature drops here it could start to snow. The earth is a vast and wondrous place. Weather does what it wants.

Yet those who are promoting the global-warming theory have the audacity to tell you they can forecast changes in the global climate decades into the future.

The truth is computer models are able to include only two out of 14 components that make up the climate system. To include the third component would take a computer a thousand times faster than we now have. To go beyond the third component requires an increase in computer power that is so large only mathematicians can comprehend the numbers.

Moreover, even if the computer power existed, scientists do not understand all the factors and the relationships between them that determine the global climate.

but even if ICE could contract it could only contract so far. it is a solid and solids do not change as much as liquids. and if it contracted it would eventually sink because as it contracts its density would go up and even at normal density ice doesn't float very well. considering if you take an ice burg only about 10-15% of it will be above the water.

and while its true that what the media describes as global warming is a lie. there is also a lot of evidence of things getting worse. after all can anyone deny that CO2 causes the heat of the sun to remain trapped on earth? Can you deny that there are green house gases? not that they are the cause of the problem. There are a lot of unknowns in the big picture. but it is human nature to want to know "WHY?". so we come up with an explanation as best we can. just as we have done since the beginning of time. the Greeks came up with a lot of stories for the reasons behind a lot of things. most of which are the creations of the Greek Gods. but people want reasons for things. just because global warming might not be right doesnt mean people wont believe in it. After all what proof do Christians have that Jesus was the son of God? besides their faith that it is true absolutely nothing, but that doesnt stop them from believing.

i do believe that this article is rather old since i believe that since then we have gone back into a warming period.

i am a little bummed cause its winter in Iowa, and it has snowed maybe 2 times since october. neither time was in december. in fact it got up to like 55 degrees yesterday. so im bummed cause this was the first year i have not had snow during winter break. but can i blame global warming? no. that would just be stupid. but people do it. even if global warming IS true, its outcome is the increase of a few degrees a DECADE. not 15-20 degrees in a year.

but, that isnt to say that we SHOULDN'T POLLUTE LESS. the earth is our home. why should we trash it? i happen to be against most technology in belief. i do however recognize that we need it for today's world, and most people would be very upset if we got rid of it (thus the big thing for y2k) i am not worried of global warming. what does scare me however

THE POPULATION.

the scariest fact that i have ever heard. earths population 6.5 billion. and america is the 3rd largest nation by population and this October we hit 300 million.... just let that sink in............its still sinking...........okay. we are the 3rd largest population in the world yet make up only 3/65 th of the worlds population. this is of course because the top 2 India and China are up over 1 billion each. and that just makes me go WTF??? how did they get almost 4x our population?? thats just insane. they scare me due to the fact that the army of these countries could outnumber the population of any other country besides each other. but then again that is just me
