Hello this is my third attempt at making a roleplay. I listened to the phantom of the opera CD about a million times, so I really love the song masquerade! So this will start off at a masquerade ball. You must post your profile like this:

Name:Kohaku Masuma
Age:15
Mask:Fox
Outfit at the moment:The black dragon dress
Personality:A very hyperactive person. She has anger issues and a tendency to judge people to quickly. She is thoroughly appalled at the behavior of the girls at the ball and doesn't want to be there.

Family(what brings you to the ball, etc.):Her parents want her to find someone special, even if shes only 15.
Other:None really...

So thats basically it! If someone won't talk to you(only if they're not online) then don't just say they won't talk to you, just don't acknowledge them till they talk to you. I love to foreshadow things! Anyways, once we get to a certain page I will say that the ball can be officially over, but your free to leave whenever you want. After the ball there is still a roleplay.

The story is this:

One day a very rich benefactor(whose identity is unknown) sent out invitations to a large, fancy Masquerade ball. As you enter the ballroom you must wear your mask and show your invitation, a piece of parchment lined in gold and tied with red satin. The ballroom is a beautiful golden color with high ceilings and marble floors. Everyone is so excited to be there that they are stunned by the total grandness of it all. They all whispered secrets about the benefactors true identity, all of them false. Tonight they will meet him in all his glory. For now they listened to the music and danced. While the man hid in the shadows and laughed at their awkward glances and clumsy dancing.

this sounds like it could be fun. I'm always a sucker for formal events. smile

Name: Ezra Crane
Age: 20
Mask: like a zorro mask.
Outfit at the moment: Black pinstripe suit, black dress shirt, and a red tie.
Personality: sort of a wallflower. He's used to these sorts of events, so finds it all kind of boring, but has a sneaky sort of feeling that something's not quite right at this one. Will speak his mind when prompted to, but otherwise doesn't like pointless chit chat. Comes off as cold, but is actually pretty protective. He doesn't like to flaunt his wealth.

Family: The Cranes are old money. They are also freemasons and as such have a history of treasure hunting and deeply kept secrets. He comes to this event in hopes to procure an artifact rumoured to dwell in the estate.
Background: Ezra is the only son of the Crane family. He is currently enrolled in a prestigious university where he's studying History and Archeology.
Other: his right wrist has a tattoo of the freemason insignia, but he usually keeps it covered by a black cloth cuff.

Mask: Dark butterfly like mask.
Outfit at the moment: Pirate
Personality: Ayslinn doesn't behave like her parents want her to. She is a little agressive. She is very sarcastic and hates people who are trying to hurt her or somebody she loves.

Family: Her mom and dad are very well known by the community. They want Ayslinn to be more like her older sister Marylo. Marylo is very sweet and is a very devoted wife for her husband Tristan.
Background: Ayslinn grew up in a very nice family but she always thought they were way too protective.

Ezra leant against a marble column, watching the dancers on the ballroom floor. He checked his watch and looked around the room. He had too much time to waste. Sighing, he pushed off the pillar and headed for the punch bowl.

A sly smirk crossed his face as he revisited his plan for the evening. It was here, he could feel it.

But there was something that tugged at the edge of his mind. he felt eyes on him, and not from any of the guests, he knew who most of them were even beneath the masks--a talent of his, having keen eyes and a sharp memory. This was something else, he couldn't place it however and downed a cup of punch.

Kohaku wandered into the room silently. She stared at all of the smiling faces with uncertainty. The smiles bugged her, the expersion on their faces another reminder that she DID NOT want to be there. She stumbled through the ongoing parade to the food table. Her mother didn't let er eat and she really wanted some cupcakes. At least they have chocolate. She took a big bite out of the piece of chocolate.

Ezra watched the girl who was chowing down on chocolates. He hadn't seen her before, that alone intrigued him. So, he moved over to the chocolates and popped one into his mouth.

"The name's Ezra Crane," He said, not even waiting for her to acknowledge him.

Kohaku almost choked on her chocolate. No one ever really talked to her. "Kohaku Masuma, nice to meet you." She said, showing her hand waiting for a him to shake it.

He took her hand and kissed it as was custom.

"Masuma, I don't believe I know your family. What business are they in?" He was just going through the motions. At a place like this everything was based on business. His just happened to be a bit more illicit.
