ok, so since this subforum is about obsessions and things of the sort, and EVERYONE obsesses a little over their car/truck/etc... why not have a thread devoted to that in particular? so i came up with this one.
Post pics of your ride(s) add some info about em if you want, or post pictures of your past vehicles/info/etc. whatever you want revolving around your rides.
let's keep it around vehicles you own, or used to own. if you want a sticky about cars you like, just let one of us dictators...erm... i mean... crew.. know and we'll get it made. or i might make one anyway.
so come on, let's see em. VW/Ford/Chevy/whatever...hell, even Hondas razz show us your wheels.

Here's Herman: and here's a shot showing my carport Herman is a 1976 Volkswagen Beetle. He is my daily driver. if tax time is nice, i'm gonna do a little work on him, maybe a new longblock and transmission... few miscellaneous things... maybe see if i can get the front bumper on... there's some front end damage, all cosmetic basically, but it messed the bumper mounts up a little... previous owner either ran a curb or hit something on the driver side, i dunno... need new visors, and i'm thinking bout window tinting... bunch of other little stuff too... who knows what all i'll do... LuLuBell is a 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. She needs an alternator, a carburetor, and a brake job, and should be drivable then. needs a new passenger rear floor pan, but that wouldn't keep me from driving her off and on. Sherman is a 1986 Lincoln Town Car (he's on the right and you can barely see him) I bought him off my best friend for a dollar a few years ago, been a pretty good car, with quirks here and there of course. I can't get him to pass inspection now, i think i missed something somewhere and need to go over everything i've done, cause i think somewhere a spark plug wire is loose and i just can't locate it... maybe i got a faulty plug wire with the set... i dunno, but it's missing so there's unburned gas going out the tailpipe, therefore he'll never pass emissions heh... Truck is a 1977 Ford F-100. Truck needs an engine, so I'm gonna try to either get rid of him like he is, or get a cheap junk yard engine and use for tasks here and there. i'm gonna look around and see if i can find any pictures of cars i've owned in the past, i think there's a pic somewhere of my 65 f-100 covered in snow... we'll see

These are my ...er...rides. rofl My favorite pair of green Keds. LOL Sorry guys. No cars for me...no liscence!! Yes, I'm 35 and I've never had a liscence! blaugh I can't drive. I overfocus and panic behind the wheel. Heh. Comes from being in too many car accidents with other people behind the wheel. Once you've rolled in the back of a Chevy Lumina...driving just doesn't seem like something you want to do. rofl It's kind of a phobia really. I really REALLY want to drive...I just can't learn to relax behind the wheel....so Keds for me...probably for life. Sigh. rolleyes

All i know is "OOOOOOOH!! shiney, pretty, ME LIKEY" hahaha.

All i know is "OOOOOOOH!! shiney, pretty, ME LIKEY" hahaha. hehe awesome, you totally should get a pic of it, i like the early-mid sixties ford trucks best personally, the style i think was used 61-66, but may have been 60-66. the style you're thinking of probably would be early to mid 50's, but i don't know the body style changes back then... with ford they were either 60 or 61 to 66, 67 to 72, and 73-79 ... at which point i lose interest in most cars of any type. not sure when the major changed were before that, seems like 58-60/61 was different than the earlier 50's tho... ::shrug:: still dunno where that pic of my 65 is, but this is a 64 i bought and owned a couple hours before the radiator blew up and i had to yell and b***h at the guy to give me my money back for his poorly misrepresented truck. man i wish that truck had worked out for me =[

Well...my ride isn't as cool. Just my feet, and my old pair of white converse trainers. --> (not a pic of mine, acutally. Closest thing I could find.) Yep. Not getting a lisence, I'm a claustrophobe. I went to London recently, and got to step inside the TARDIS prop. Fainted after I freaked out. Someone shut the door... gonk

*giggles* I find it scary that my friends are going to learn how to drive soon. I doubt I'll get a car until like, I leave for college.
Our family's sweet ride is a '95 station wagon. xd It works, so there's no need to buy a fancy car.
