I planned to make this topic a while ago and seeing as my "Blood month" thread seemed to have people thinking that is what I was talking about and not the Britsh in me coming out I decided it was time to add this topic for all your girls to rant about that wonderful time of the month.
I'm to out of it right now to add anything at this time.

OMG, I always have the worst cramps on the first day. I also got ISS (In School Suspension) for having regular strength Midol. I bet if the principal knew what cramps felt like, then he would not be such a jerk about it. It is like the only thing I don't like about being a girl.

I started my period when I was ten. D: I was wearing white shorts that day, too. ._. I get really bad cramps for the first day, sometimes into the second day. It puts me in a really bad mood, too.

I've never really suffered from cramps. I do get water retention and I feel bloaty..and my legs ache but its not totally unbearable. The part I dislike about my monthly cycle is the hormonal changes. Like lately half way through my cycle I will get really emotional and confrontational (like angry alot)...and then right before my period I seem to become very sensitive (cry at everything and take things too personally.)
As for my cycle in general, Im textbook. I started when I was 12.5. I get mine every 25-28 days, usually they last about 3-4 days with a few days before that of emotional pms.

Bleck...I hate periods
But on a side funny note it always cracks me up when I go to the doc. They ALWAYS ask "when was your last normal period" I say such and such month, "So there is no way you could be pregnant" "Nope" Then they ask if your sexually active "Yes I am" then "Do you use birth control and practice safe sex" and I respond with a flat "Absolutely not" by this time they still haven't figured it out and I consider getting out a pad of paper and drawing a picture buttttt, nah ninja

Worst time of the month. My cramps are day one and two. I suffer through mine. I've never once taken Midol and I'm proud of it lol.
My periods are ok. It's my midcycle that is very bad.

I can't understand how people are against or scared to take nonprescribed pain medications like Asprin, Midol etc. Is it really that big of a deal to people?

Firescares I can't understand how people are against or scared to take nonprescribed pain medications like Asprin, Midol etc. Is it really that big of a deal to people? Nah it's not a big deal at all. I avoid Midol because my body is always loaded with painkillers because I get nasty headaches.

Nah it's not a big deal at all. I avoid Midol because my body is always loaded with painkillers because I get nasty headaches. Depends. I can get used to a (legal) drug really fast, like Excedrin or Tylenol, so I avoid taking it as much as I can so that when I really need it to work, it will. sweatdrop I know some people though that can't stand the thought of taking any kind of drug, whether it's a matter of pride or just scary to them. *shrugs*

I think it's funny how my Gynecologist gave me a pregnacy test without telling me when I was younger because I was a few months late, he couldn't take my word for it. As far as Midol and advil go I have to take them almost every month or my cramps are really bad. I have to take two midol and two advil to completely get rid of the cramps some months. Then others I hardly have cramps at all.
