so then one of the great mysteries of life is fate. some people argue that they are born with one unchangable path to live, and that everything that happens happens by plan, not by chance. others argue that due to free will and the free will of others, it's impossible to live a life on an unchanging path. so then, do you believe in fate or do you think that your destiny is ever changing?
i personally don't believe in fate, though if you look at it one way it can seem that way.

I believe in fate. I think that what each person does was meant to happen to move one another to their chosen destiny. Every time something happens, I wonder what would have happened if I had done something just slightly different, if I had chosen the other option I was considering. I wonder why it happened, what else could have happened if thet particular event hadn't. But through it all, I think it was inevitable and all part of some master plan by our Storyteller, our Author, our Creator.

((ooh never ventured here before ^_^))
Well, I believe that everything happens for a reason. However, we all have free will to do as we please. It is our power of choice that makes all the difference. But, if everything happens for a reason, would it matter what choice we make? I think that every simply action makes a difference. It does not matter if it may seem insignificant or not, it will still affect others one way or another. So... fate? Fate is complicated. I believe that it is the name humans give to explain why things happen the way they do. I'm not too sure if I made sense since well my mind is well somewhat dead right now... hehe ^_^;

Last night, I was at a racer's meet-up. My friend and I had stolen one of their hats. They decided to go downtown, and I decided to go so that I could return his hat before I went home. I took the highway, while they took the streets.
So, I got there a couple of seconds ahead of time, and found them at an intersection. I had the red light while they turned on the green. It looked clogged so I hoped they wouldn't get far without me before the light changed. So, we called them once our light changed, and they said they had gone down this popular one-way street.
I got held up behind pedestrians and cabs, so I decided I would try to cut them off at another entrance onto the street (there are only two). I missed it, turned around at this hotel on an adjacent street, and found it again, two cars were coming my way down this narrow entrance, so I had to let them through. Once I got through them, there was the car with the hat owner in the passenger seat.
So, if I hadn't gotten held up at the light, by the pedestrians, by the cab, by the cars at the entrance, if I hadn't missed the entrance, and turned around where I had, I wouldn't have ended up right behind my friends on that one-way street.
I call it Fate.
