  • Middle [Turtle Division] 6-8 grades | ages 11 - 14

  • College [Wolf Division] 1-4 grades | ages ( if child has skipped, age accordingly for younger students entering college) 19+

Westchase Academy is a top-quality private school. Though each division is not overly large, there are a wide range of students who attend and the campus is usually full with all four classes combined. Gettng in to Westchase is a matter of very good grades, money, or excelling at a particular skill (such as a sport or instrument). Scholarships are available for those who have the grades or skills, but not the cash. Letters of recommendation from teachers make the entry process a bit easier.

Magic is not taught at Westchase, and has nothing to do with the acceptance process. Most of the people in the school are 'normal,' students with more esoteric skills will receive funny looks and possibly some uneasiness.

The Westchase campus is open, spacious, and well-cared for, surrounded by a wrought iron fence with large gates at the front. The location of the school is just outside of Durem, away from the nosie of the city but close enough for social interaction. There are huge expanses of flowerbeds, small gardens, and plain grass for the students to enjoy. The south corner, closest to the Rabbit division, also holds a playground. There are teachers and security guards wandering randomly at all times to insure the safety of the students.

There are four dormitories on campus, one for each division. Each is four floors in height. Rabbit and Turtle divisions are housed with roomates; Lynx division has a 25% chance of getting their own room. Wolf division is divided into actual apartments (some with two bedrooms), and rooming in doubles is entirely optional. The students also have the option of rooming at home or outside the school, and travelling in each day to class.

Rules:
  • No fighting of any kind within school grounds. Excessive fighting can and will lead to expulsion.

  • No boys in the girls' dormitories. There are no co-ed rooms, except special allowances for the Wolf division.

  • Uniforms must be worn at all times. If a student is found out of uniform, they will be sent home.

  • Students are expected to behave graciously. Rudeness and disrespect to the teachers or other students will be reprimanded.

  • Absolutely no smoking, drinking, or illegal substances are allowed on campus.

  • No weapons allowed. Students found being 'creative' in this area will be investigated and, if necessary, punished.

  • Please do not walk in the flowerbeds.

Uniform Descriptions

Girls are not usually permitted to wear the boy's uniforms, and vice versa. This is HIGHLY frowned upon, unless you simply don't have any femininity/masculinity in your character, like Shuya. Exceptions can be made, but please note they are very rare.

About school logos: Feel free to be creative with them- the requirement is that it has the school 'W' in it, as well as the class animal. We may be having a contest for logos in the future, but for now we make do. xd

About the Plaid: The Westchase Academy plaid is either navy blue with white and khaki lines or khaki with navy blue and white lines. This is consistent no matter what class; whenever plaid is allowed, both colors are optional unless otherwise specified.

About bags: School bags are all the same, navy blue shoulder-style satchels with the class logo on the front.
