Some of the people that have gotten into the guild are illiterate to an extreme. Really, it is beginning to bug me. Actually it has been bugging me, I just didn't say anything and that is no more.
It seems there has been an influx of the amount of illiterate role-players in the guild and I would like to pose very simple, outright questions that I'd like someone, no anyone, to answer.
Is it really that hard to spell right?
Were they not taught to check spelling in school?
Did they go to school?
Do they have Word? (If they do, they need to use it...)
Now I will tell you exactly why it angers me so. (I'm really in quite a tiff here.)
It's really not that hard to check spelling. Open Word, select and paste the text and fix the errors! And the bad grammar and incomplete sentences TERRIFY me! My god people, we learned how to make proper sentences in 5th grade. I truly don't understand why people can't learn how to spell...

Capitalize and use periods when needed and this would be a wonderful post. Now if everyone at least tried to take the time to capitalize and use correct grammar, I wouldn't be as mad nor as offended. My eyes are bleeding from the terrible use of the English language. And do you know how hard it is to decipher some of the things people post? Calm down fellow role-players, this isn’t General Discussion or the Chatter box. We will give you time to fix mistakes and reword sentences, now take the opportunity. A few mistakes here and there is perfectly fine but is it too much that I ask you to simply capitalize the first word in a sentence or ‘I’ when you type?
I understand that I may have offended someone in the guild and I sincerely apologize however, I cannot let this go unknown. Mistakes are only expected of a human being but there is an extent to what I consider acceptable, something I consider quite reasonable considering some of the rules of the role-players out there. I merely wish to better the guild and help some of the misunderstandings the surface between the expectations of the different people in the guild.

All of gaia is serious lacking in literates... I swear if i ever make a guild I'm like not inviting anyone but literates, it'll be a paradise ^^

XD Well my moderator friend, if you see there is an issue as such, it is your job while I'm away to PM the individuals and tell them what's on your mind! And if it gets really bad, we'll dump them. ^^"

I just can't type, I do try to check my sentances, but sometimes I just space. And I can't spell 'their' all the time either, I type 'thier'. For me it is hard to spell, I failled grade two 'cause of my spelling. Bu I am trying to improve on my grammer and spelling.
But you are right, I've seen posts like that. I don't know what they say. When I type tend to do it how I talk. I do use the word 'teh' alot, and a few others. I even told some one I less than three'd them (<3), it was pretty interesting.

The only reason I'm so ornery about spelling is that I've gotten beaten up for it (verbally) in school. I used to be terrible with my spelling.

I think it's amusing. Parents send their kids to school to learn how to read, write, and talk, and then they allow them to places like "myspace" and give them phones which allow them to text message.
