It was a dark and stormy night...

Ok it was just snowing, but still.
Alaska was found very close to Christmas of '05, savaging near the agency when she was scooped up by Spazzy. After closer inspection it was realized that she was infact a winter ftc, which explains why she wasn't shivering from the cold when she was found.
She was in need of a home. I had only Amy at the time, and it was very difficult to try and figure out if I really wanted to take her in, or I just wanted another cat. A few days went by and I couldn't stop thinking about what a wonderful companion she would be. I've always been a big fan of winter, and everything that reminded me of it. Christmas, snow, sitting by the fire... cute fluffy winter geared cats. That was it, I did everything in my power to nab her. And obviously.. she joined our little family. <3''
Alaska has a complex personality, which might be someone a side effect of being a hunter. She's has a lot of street-smarts from when she was a stray, however she knew little to nothing about being a "Pet". Her adopted sister Amy helped her out a lot with this, as she's a companion. After a bit of observing, it was clear that there are two sides to Alaska: A shy girly, yet intelligent cat, and a fearless competitive hunter.
Whenever she meets another Hunter, especially of the boasting male verity, she loves to prove her worth and hopefully have them eat their words. Even after becoming mostly adapted with her new environment, she still has a strong craving for Kochii, but has gotten much better at only toying with the wild ones.
She does have a soft side though, it's the side you'll see most of if your a cat or dog in any other class. She's very soft spoken, but isn't afraid to add her 2 cents to a conversation. Because of her long insulating fur she grooms herself a lot and takes pride in her beautiful white and lilac coat. However, it is also one of the features that made it so difficult for her to fit in. When she was first brought into the center, she started to realize she was a little different from other cats.. especially the other gales. Because her coat is so fluffy and her hunters muscles she looks a lot larger than most of the other females. As you can imagine it gave Alaska somewhat of a complex for awhile.. until she met Snowdrop: a male companion Winter FTC.
Winter FTC have a few very special qualities. Both male and female have an impressive coat of fur, with long tuffs of fur on their paws, along with on the tips of their ears. (which is why they slightly bend downwards) Both genders have gems on their foreheads, which keeps their body temperature high even in the coldest of temperatures. The big downside is summer can be very hard on them, especially here in the park.
