The Good Things About Wind Energy
Energy Efficient
Certified wind turbines meet accepted safety and design standards. Many wind turbine manufacturers are getting their turbines certified to give customers added confidence in their product.
Wind energy technology is cost-effective at remote, cold weather sites.
European countries with limited land are taking the lead on building wind turbines in shallow offshore water to generate electricity.
Some states offer tax incentives and other support for wind energy.
The Problems With Wind Energy
Size. Windmills are generally large. The tallest windmills are about 20 stories tall.
Not In My Back Yard! Some neighbors don't want a windmill near their home. They can slow down and sometimes even stop wind farms trying to move into their area.
Noise. Windmills are sometimes noisy. Mostly windmills are quiet (see Myth Versus Fact) but sometimes neighbors of wind farms complain of the noise.
Installation cost. Putting in a windmill costs about $45000 to $50000.
Zoning. Some places, zoning laws have been made to prevent wind farms/windmills from coming to the area.

Also, many eco friendly people are agianst it, because it is like a birdie biocide
