I've heard that question dozens of times. This is why.

The first time I went to Florida I was eight years old. We went to Key West and I never wanted to leave. Ever since, I am preoccupied constantly with Florida. Moving there, college, buying shorts, the Everglades, it's always been with me. I've wasted the better part of 14 years vegetating in Michigan, and can't wait until I'm 18 and can go move to Florida and finish my education there. I want to go to Florida Tech. I fantasize about getting a nice home and starting a bed and breakfast, maybe getting married underneath a palm tree near the beach.
So, imagine how I felt when I saw this.
That's why I'm somewhat fanatical about stopping global warming. Because I can't let that happen.

So, why do you care so much about global warming? Where and when did you first hear about it?
(I put this in the ranting sections, because I have a feeling there will be plenty of rants. Not that this is a bad thing.)

I care about global warming, because while I still think that it is not human caused, reducing carbon emissions and such is still something that would be good to do.

it is interesting. I mean people were saying that we were going into an iceage 30 yrs ago, and now the same people are saying we will all die in some desert rofl

I got so fanatical about global warming in 2005. It always snowed alot in VA and on dec. 24, 2004 we got 13 inch. so much snow it was visible from space all across VA. Then...duh, duh, duh, DUH 2005 came...duh, duh, duh, DUH. The winter of 2005 came and we only got one snowstorm that left a puny 1/2 inch! I was like what the hell happened! Wheres the snow!?
