I was watching "Drawn Together" and couldn't help but notice a painfully familiar parody of what appears to be our beloved Hero of Time. My friend afterwards tells me that Link is super gay. I of course highly protest claiming that in Zelda II he was kissing the princess behind the curtain- but he swears that Link is totally gay. I argued that earrings mean he's a bishounen (pretty boy) but do not make him gay.
Is he, or isn't he? If this question has been asked before please direct me to the nearest posting 3nodding

I don't think Xander resembles Link except for the ears. I think he's parodying other genres. And I don't think Link's gay. The reason he shows little interest is because saving the world's more important. That's what makes a dedicated hero.

I'm so glad you noticed that. I saw a resemblance but at the end of it all, I think it just makes fun of alot of same genres. There are alot of Zelda type themes, plus Xander wears more of a space individual. Ears really are the only resembalence. Though the Uber-Christian Arial knock off girl is quite entertaining.

One can argue that Link never shows any interest in females. But then, when does he show interest in any males?
Clearly, the answer is that he is an asexual blob. heart

I hate to use this as an example, but watch the Zelda cartoon, the old one. Link looks down Zelda's shirt, whistles at her, and constantly tries to get a kiss. I'm convinced that the cartoon is why the stopped Link from speaking after that.

Well i'm sure that the makers of Zelda didnt want Link to be gayso I'm guessing he's not. They probably didnt even think of that factor.

Totally forgot about the cartoon in this argument *d-oh!* And the person claiming he's hyper ultra gay is older than me XD

He might be gay, but I think he doesn't have time for boyfriends OR girlfriends, coz he needs to save the world all the time.
So it doesn't matter that much I guess. sweatdrop

It's like the whole "is Sponge Bob gay?" question. Only Link is better, of course. I just dont see where it matters. His sexuality takes no part in me enjoying the games....
....Though in all honesty I'd rather he was gay then be in love with the princess xd . But I'd like Malon the most of anything.

Xander is just a bizaro link, just like Ling Ling is Pikachu. even though they may look the same in no way do they contain the same train of ideas or morials.
