The last time I watched V for Vendetta (last night) I noticed something that was wuite a plot hole. It isn't a huge problem, it doesn't effect the story but a plot hole, is a plot hole. So, now I'll get on to the actual realization.

We all know that V takes Evey to the shadow gallery in the hopes of saving her from a terrible Creedy induced fate. While she is there, although she came unprepared, she has different ensembles. Let me explain more clearly. Her clothes basically appear out of completely no where!

When Evey is at work, the day V takes her in she is wearing an outfit that consists of a vertical striped shirt and some kahki pants.

V takes her, while she it still in this well-assembled cornucopia of fashion, to his home. However, the next morning, after she throws her hissy fit the night pervious, Evey comes out of her room in a completely new arrangement of clothes, observe:

If you will believe me, and I know you will, the maddness does not cease here. When she hears V fighting the suit of armor in his living room, while watching The Count of Monte Cristo, she ushers herself out into sight with a new outfit!

There is one more ensemble that comes into view during her first stay with V. And here it is, we'll call this one the spring cleaning line that appears from no where (cause', ya know, she's cleaning the mirror).

The next time this deformity of film happens is when she wears her cute little ***** attracting outfit (which reminds me of candy).

When V comes in to make his kill on the pope, or what ever, Evey makes a rapid dash to her friend Gordon's house. We all know this. But nonetheless she changes clothes again.

Its hard to see but the pants are fitted (which means they aren't Gordon's) and note the girlish tanktop. Which was not under the candy dress because there is a view of her back and it is quite bare.

The next one is the worst of them all. She goes to V flase reality in this ugly-a** getup. I think its supposed to be ugly so it achieved its goal.

After she finds out it was all V she apprently stays the night. The following morning she comes out in this!! I don't remember having clothes when she went in V's death trap!

Where did these materialize from, is my question?

I don't think so. I've watched the movie about six times in the last month and have not recalled sucha scene.

If there is one! Some one tell me so I can be corrected. . . And sufficiently embarrassed.

The costume designer, in an interview, gave this explanation:

Sammy Sheldon
Evey spends quite a bit of this film in men's clothing or in an orange tunic in Larkhill and at Deitrich's. It was a tough one to know what to do with her in the Shadow Gallery… V takes her there and she wakes up in the clothes that she's been to work in and she's there for quite a length of time. What does she wear? We had to make up a backstory that V eventually got her some things and there were clothes there anyway because he's a collector of stuff, you know, books, art, any, everything, music, so why not clothing too?

See the whole interview here. :3 She has some very interesting things to say.

Yeah I kind of speculated that too and assumed that V had other clothes for her to wear, also... surprised

Well, if V was going to accomidate Evey for a year, he had to find her some clothes? I suppose it would make sense for him to go to her place and take some of her clothes.

Now that I've looked more closely at the pictures, I'm humored to see that she wears that grey cotton jacket twice. I guess out of the clothes V got her, she found a favorite. 4laugh

Let's see here.
First she starts out with the outfit she wears to work.
When she gets conked by the footman, she ends up at V's place.
V has a room at the shadow gallery for her with clothes in her size.
The pink dress came from V.
When she goes to Dietrich's place wearing the pink outfit, Dietrich gives her his clothes to wear.
The orange getup is something V put on Evey when he interrogated her and shaved her head. The orange outfit is a replica from when V was at Larkhill.
