Personally, I belive the book is better for one thing... I like using my imagination. Another reason the movie went waaaay too fast...and cut or mixed up alot of stuff from the book

the movie was absolutely horrible in my opinion...the director screwed everything up. It kind of made me wonder why Christopher Paolini agreed to what the director turned the movie into. I'm kind of disappointed.

actually if you look at it through a point in which you havent read the book then the movie was awesome otherwise it left out too many details

Yea the book was soo much better! I liked the book because you could imagine everything and it was very discriptive, and the movie cut it up too much to the point even where anything tying Eragon, and Eldest together was takin away.

I liked the movie, but the book was sooo much better. The movie left out soooo much, it was disapointing. But as many of you have said, the special effects were fantastic. The storyline was nice... But it still was different, but I suppose they couldnt make it exact. I dont even think any movie is superdy duperdy close to the book. Well, maybe a few. biggrin

I only had one good thing to say about the movie....Saphira was absolutely beautiful.
But other then that, it all went down hill, really, really, really fast. Things happened that weren't supposed to happen so soon...or they completely messed it up. Ayra was not conscious or even with them when Brom died, she was not poisoned by the Shade for the heck of it....The list goes on.

There is NO question, the book is SOOOO much better than the movie. I watched the movie first, and than read the book, and the movie skips parts, and changes things and Arya's character is completly different from the book, tho I do enjoy the movie.

The book was way better than the movie. I like the movie but like everyone else said they left too much out. Hollywood always does that. Did anyone see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? They completely left out the House elves in the story and a whole bunch of other stuff. I mean seriously one minuter we were sitting in the Quidditch stadium and the next in Mr. Weasly's magical tent. Sorry I got way off topic but it's true.

"I thought the movie was pretty good. I saw it before I read the book. As for it not being closeI don't judge the movie by the book I judged the movie by the movie. My opinion is don't judge the movie by the book the movies never compare and judgeing it by the book takes the fun away from the movie.
