Discuss why Cuba's so humanitarian all of a sudden. I look at the NCS and I see (mandatory for flourescant light bulbs) and also the denouncement of using ethanol because of starving people.

Cuba is eco-friendly because they care, they are a country that realizes the problems facing the environment and goes against them regardless of economic benifets, only something that could happen in a socialist country. It's similar to their policy of sending doctors all over the world for aid, and universal health care.

Socialist states don't have the corporations that want the "special benefits" to cover up the horrible pollution they cause by merely not-throwing away their waste in the right manner.

Ah, the joys of living in a corporate-ruled society, huh?

Cuba has been under a constant embargo from the US for decades. I guess they feel that they can sympathise with those "not-so-lucky" people. If only the bigger capital-countries would follow the example...
