I swear this is the most random fanfiction I have ever made, and since this writing forum has no fanfiction forum place, I thought I would just make a topic/thread thing....

Here you can post your one shot fanfictions...no matter how random or crazy.....

And you can comment on ANYONES fanfiction...but please be nice....

Here is mine, THIS IS PURELY FAN-BASED AND STUFF...I DONT OWN NARTUO CHARRIES OR ANYTHING AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE STUPID, PLEASE DONT SAY MEAN THINGS:
FANFICTION: NARUTO
TITLE: RANDOM TREE OF TERROR

Sakura was sitting under a tree, staring in a mirror while messing with her hair. “Up? Maybe down? GAH! If only I knew what Sasuke-kun liked!!!!!” The pink-haired girl sighed as she sat the mirror in her lap. Suddenly Sasuke walked up behind her. “What I like? I like girls that leave me alone. I like girls that don’t talk.”

Sakura started crying and Sasuke looked at her with a bored expression. “Where’s Kakashi-sensei? He’s always late…” Naruto fell from the tree and landed on his head. Sakura pushed him over with her foot. “Yea, why did he ask to meet us all here, anyway?”

Suddenly, as if on cue, Kakashi appeared in a blast of smoke. Coughing, he waved a greeting to the team. “Ah! My team members! Why are all of you here? What a coincidence!” He said in an almost drunken voice.

Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto fell over. “YOU TOLD US TO COME!” Sakura yelled at him and the older man looked at her. “I did? Hm. Here! Have some free popcorn!” He threw a bag of classic popcorn at her. She blinked and looked at it. “Kakashi-sensei?”

“OH SASUKE!!!!!!!!! Orochimaru came by looking for you! He wanted to know if we were still up to Canasta tonight at the sand village with Gaara and Itachi!” Kakashi said, noticing the black-haired boy. Sasuke shrugged. “It all really depends on how my remote works.”

Naruto was confused, but lost all interest in the conversation as a butterfly flitted around. He chased it and it landed on his hand. Upon closer inspection, the butterfly had the face of the Third Hokage. “OH! HI HOKAGE-SAMA!!!!!” Naruto laughed as he continued chasing the Hokage-butterfly.

Sakura was playing hopscotch with the popcorn that Kakashi gave her, when she noticed a couple figures coming up the road. “HEY! IT’S INO-PIG, HINATA, NEJI, LEE, AND GAARA!” She said, suddenly upside down on the tree. Naruto looked over at the others.

“ZOMG! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII III!” He ran after them, forgetting the Hokage-butterfly. Ino looked at the hyper-active people and ran in the opposite direction. “THE TREE!!! IT’S THE RANDOMNIOUS TREEIOUS! RUN FOR YOUR SANITY!!!!!!”

Neji stared at Sakura and Sasuke as they started spinning in circles. “Um…this is odd.” Hinata nodded and Gaara approached Naruto. “What’s up mah home slice?” Gaara said. Everyone looked at him with shock. “What? Get up outta my grill, biznich. Can’t a playa play wit out bein hated?” Gaara looked at them all.

Lee jumped and his eyes were glowing. “OMG! Gaara’s gone street!” Hinata looked at him. “YA THINK?! Geeze someone get him a towel before he wets himself with the excitement of actually getting something!” Neji looked over at his cousin. “Hinata-sama! You are acting weird!” Then he turned to Sakura, grabbed her hand. “SAKURA! MY ONE AND ONLY! MARRY ME!” Kakashi started dancing polka with Gaara and Lee.

Sakura looked at Neji. “And I love you giant talking pineapple! OF COURSE I’LL MARRY YOU!” With that she jumped into Neji’s arms. Hinata and Naruto started a rock/folksinging group and Kakashi became a Go-Go dancer with Lee and Gaara.

The next morning Naruto was shocked to wake up with Hinata and a huge heart tattoo on his chest. Sakura and Neji woke to find themselves in a tree, half naked, with a cantaloupe. Kakashi, Lee, and Gaara woke, VERY CONFUSED, wearing neon spandex dresses and thigh-high boots.

This was one crazy night.

When you say "one shot" what exactly do you mean? I have a fan fic that I'm working on but it's like in three chapters right now, more or less. It started out as a fan fic challenge on another site but I just had to finish it, though I haven't really written down the ending yet. I could do three posts, or one looooooong one but if your talking something shorter then it really doesn't fall under "one shot."

one-shot is the term used for fanfictions that only have one page, or chapter. ^^ see, my fanfic was just a short little page, making it a oneshot.

But feel free to post whichever you want! Long, or three! ^^
PostPosted: Thu May 31, 2007 2:13 am

oh, learned something new smile Well, it did start out as one chapter for the fanfic challenge. Those who entered were given two lines from a song that they had to use; mine were:

Even if it’s a lie
Say it will be all right

Then we could use any of the following, if we so desired (I used them):

But I do believe
That not everything is gonna be the way
You think it ought to be
It seems like every time I try to make it right
It all comes down on me
Please say honestly you won’t give up on me
And I shall believe.

It's just I left it hanging and I HAD to work on the ending, but the site went down shortly after the contest which is why its still unfinished. Anyway, here's the beginning:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phoebe shivered slightly as she entered the mansion. Ever since Piper had told her that Cole was still hanging around she felt his presence every time she came home. Even though Piper had assured her that Cole only wanted to spare her his bleak existence she couldn’t shake that feeling that he was there watching and waiting for something she may never be able to gift him with again, her trust. Sighing as she climbed the stairs she admitted to herself that as the apple peeling had shown so long ago Cole was her one and only soul mate just as Leo was Piper’s. He honestly would forever hold her heart in his keeping. If only her trust hadn’t been so fragile when she had first met him, perhaps if it had been stronger she would have been able to withstand Cole’s return to evil and then his total obsession with her.

The fight against the evil side of her own powers was hard even though she was a Charmed One, but it was only since Piper had told her of Cole’s fate that she had finally thought about how much harder the fight had been for him. As she entered her room she picked up the photo of Cole and her that still rested on her dresser. She had new found respect for him now that time had dulled the pain of a love that seemed doomed from the start. Having been born to a demon Cole had been molded into someone who could kill without a second thought almost from birth. He would of known pain and degradation, never love, trust, or a belief in his goodness so it was actually amazing that he had even recognized the gift of love that they had both been given.

Sitting on her bed she allowed the tears to fall silently as she finally realized that both the pressure from her sisters and her own feelings of being unlovable had helped doom both Cole and her almost from the beginning. Unfortunately it had also doomed Cole to a fate worse then death, an eternity alone and unloved. At that moment a small breath of warm air wafted across her shoulders as her sister Paige orbed into the room and for just a second Phoebe heard a brief whisper as the air passed her ear.

“Don’t give up on me.”

Her eyes widened at the familiar voice as Paige asked, “What’s wrong Phoebe?”

Mustering a small smile Phoebe wiped her eyes with the heel of her hand, “Just thinking how unfair life is.”

“Cole”

“Yes.”

Paige frowned as she sat down beside Phoebe, “Yeah, I’ve been thinking a lot since Piper told us of his fate. I knew him for so short a time and most of that was when he was the Source or Mr. Invincible. I was so hard on both of you, especially on him. Looking back I see how afraid I was that I was going to lose my new found family because of this tremendous evil that had consumed my sister’s boyfriend. Then he was so obsessed with you while at the same time having access to such tremendous powers, I don’t know, it just really scared me.”

Phoebe laughed softly at that, “You weren’t the only one believe me.”

Paige smiled sadly, “Still I should have trusted you and not been so holier-than-thou towards Cole.”

Hugging Paige, Phoebe smiled, “I think towards the end even I was a bit judgmental.”

“Only towards the end and by then you had been hurt by the very person you had chosen over your family. Unfortunately Paige is right none of us gave Cole even half the trust that you did. We were his judge and jury every time he made one simple mistake, which was exactly when he really needed our faith and understanding the most.” Piper said as she walked through the door.

“Okay, so we are all guilty that doesn’t mean Cole deserves an eternity filled with loneliness.” Phoebe sobbed out as tears started streaming down her cheeks causing both Piper and Paige to rush over and wrap her in their arms.

Meeting Paige’s eyes over Phoebe’s head Piper mouthed, “She still loves him…?”

Paige nodded slightly in response just as Phoebe pleaded with them, “Even if it’s a lie, say it will be alright. Please I want to believe everything will be okay.”

At those heartfelt words tears began to fall from her sisters’ eyes as well. It was all such a mess and one that they had helped create.

“We will fix it Phoebe I promise you we will find a way to help Cole find peace.” Piper whispered into her baby sister’s hair.
“And I will help you as best I can.” Leo volunteered from the doorway. Piper squeezed Phoebe hard once before standing up and moving over into her husband’s arms.

“I don’t know guys. It seems like every time I try to make it right it all comes down on me.”

Paige laughed lightly, “Yeah, when it comes to Cole it does seem like all you do is attract bad luck and unfortunately it also happens to be the luck that is extremely evil as well.”

Piper held her head his as she admitted to being wrong a few short years ago, “But we will prevail this time Phoebe. We can promise you that because this time we will believe in Cole. He has earned that and more over and over, it’s our fault that our egos got in the way before. We expected too much, too soon from someone raised as he was and we never acknowledged the good he achieved, only condemned him for the evil that was his birthright.”

They had all pulled together numerous times to help and support Leo, even when he had been an Avatar, but they had never really supported Cole. If she was honest with herself even now she expected Cole was just plotting something evil yet again. Rubbing her forehead Piper wondered if there was something to her suspicion or if it all came down to the fact that Leo used to be a Whitelighter so therefore good no matter what and Cole used to be a demon so evil no matter what. Even if they hadn’t realized that there were shades of gray back then you would think they would know better by now, so why was she still having second thoughts even as she assured Phoebe that they would find a way to help Cole. At that very moment a fierce wind blew through the room and faint voices could be heard as it circled the sisters.

“Believe…” whispered a young female.

“That everything is not gonna to be the way you think it ought to be…” murmured a young male voice.

“That’s the only way.” They finished together. Then the wind was gone as suddenly as it appeared.

From the bed where she sat hugging Phoebe Paige asked, “Who, or what, was that?”

“My guess would be The Fates.” Leo answered.

“Oh that’s just great. Any idea what their little speech meant? Was it a warning or a clue?” Demanded Piper as she stepped out of his arms and began to pace back and forth. “I don’t understand what they are trying to tell us. Are we supposed to believe that what Cole told me about his fate isn’t true or that what we think his fate should be isn’t really important or realistic?”

“But I do believe! Piper, please don’t give up on him this time. He may have done some real rotten things before he met me and lost the war with evil to become the Source, but he doesn’t deserve this. He put his life on the line for us numerous times and I really believe that the only reason we were finally able to defeat the Source is because of Cole.”

Piper stopped pacing as she realized what she had said. Once again she had automatically assumed that Cole was out to destroy them even from his trapped existence. Taking a deep breath she went over and kneeled in front of Phoebe and placed her hands on her sister’s knees.

“I’m sorry baby I don’t know why I always think the worst of Cole. Please say honestly that you won’t give up on me and I shall believe. I promise you Phoebe, I shall believe in Cole no matter what,” she pleaded.

“Let’s see, first Cole was a demon out to kill the Charmed Ones, then he was taken over by the Source, and finally he was this invincible being totally obsessed with Phoebe. I really don’t see why you wouldn’t automatically think the worst. I do too and I wasn’t around when he was trying to kill you all,” Paige chuckled as she patted Phoebe’s back and then stood up. “Still he did the best he could and managed to do a lot of good in the short time that he won the war against the evil he was nurtured in. This ‘punishment’ or whatever it’s suppose to be is just plain wrong. I don’t believe any of his crimes merit this type of judgment, I mean really he even took back those crazy powers so we could defeat that fear demon and lost Phoebe once again in the process.”

“Neither do I” Piper and Leo asserted at the same time.

“So we will find a way to defeat the fates, together.” Leo continued as he walked over to join Piper and Paige by Phoebe’s bedside. Standing Phoebe wiped away her tears, only this time they were tears of hope.

“To the Book?” she asked.

“To the Book!” her sisters answered.

Leo held up his hand to stop them for a second, “I think it will be better if Phoebe and Piper check out the Book of Shadows while Paige and I see if there’s anything at the Magic School that can help.”

“Good idea, we can cover more ground that way,” Paige said as she grabbed Leo’s arm and orbed out.

Piper and Phoebe made their way upstairs to the Book of Shadows. As they entered the doorway a hard, hot wind stopped them in their tracks and actually began pushing them back out the door. Battling through the hurricane type tempest Phoebe swore she could feel an immense sense of love and a frantic sense of worry enveloping her very soul. As they neared the Book the wind began to die down to a small whimper.

“What was that all about?” Piper wondered out loud. “If that’s those Fates trying to stop us before we even start, all they’re really doing is making me more determined.”

Phoebe looked at her sister worriedly, “If the only reason you want to help Cole is to put one over on the Fates then I don’t think this is a good idea. Personally I think that there is more to their cryptic statement than Cole’s current situation.”

“What do you mean Phoebe?” Piper inquired as she started leafing through the Book.

Phoebe shrugged as she stood beside her sister, “I don’t know really. It’s like I can glimpse a glimmer of some revelation that all this is suppose to reveal to us, but yet I’ve no idea what it is. All I feel is that it has something to do with our expectations, our view of the world, and our own failings.”

“Yes, nothing is done against our ordinances…” A middle-aged woman’s voice wafted through the room as the pages in the Book of Shadows began to turn rapidly on their own.

“And mortals seldom keen the complex design we weave. However, it seems thy premonition struggles to reveal that which is hidden,” intoned a grandmotherly voice just before all went still and quiet in the attic.

Puzzled Piper and Phoebe looked at each other. “Okay, who were they?”

“I don’t know Phoebe but maybe the Book will tell us that as well. If not I’ll have Paige drag Leo back here and see what he says.”

Phoebe chuckled a little at that as she glanced down at the open book. Reading aloud she said, “The Fates or the Moirai. Three sisters named Clotho, Lakhesis, and Atropos who represent the three sections that are attributed to time (present, past, and future). Clotho, also known as the Spinner, is the youngest and puts the wool round the spindle thus spinning the thread of life as she sings that are. Middle-aged Lakhesis, also known as the Allotter, determines the length of the thread as she sings of things that were. Atropos, also known as the Never-turn-back, is the eldest who sings of things that will be as she cuts the thread when the proper time for death has come. At birth they give each person their share of good and evil and punish all transgressions.”

“Okay that explains the three women who have spoken but what about that young boy?” Piper asked just before the Book started flipping through its pages again.

There on the page was a young, handsome twenty-something man dressed in an expensive black suit standing under big, black bolded letters that spelled out DEATH. Beneath his feet were words that Piper read out loud. “Thanatos is Death whose power affects all mortals. He is subject to the Moirai, who are the three sisters who decide on human fate; and as everybody has a portion in life, the individual fate is usually present when Thanatos comes to fetch a mortal.”

Phoebe stabbed her finger down onto the picture as she said, “That was not there back when Prue looked.”

“He also doesn’t look like the man Prue described either!” A furious Piper bit out just as a soft glow entered the attic.

“That’s because Prue was seeing him as he appears towards the time that Atropos cuts a person’s thread.”

Piper and Phoebe looked up with joy and ran to stand just out of reach of their Gram’s spirit as they joyously yelled, “Grams!”

Grams smiled at them as she said, “Each moment in time reveals a different phase in life and thus Death is neither young nor old but all the phases of life.”

“Okay so judging from the voice we heard I would guess he is with the youngest Fate, Clotho and thus in one of his younger phases.”

“Yes and you three are not the only ones who they have visited,” Grams said just as she disappeared.

Phoebe rubbed her forehead, “okay, all this double talk and hidden truths nonsense is starting to give me a headache.”

Piper smiled, “I think I got the meaning behind that last part. Seems we’re not the only ones who need to take a good hard look at the fabric of our lives.

“Cole…?”

“I think so, because even though a lot of his choices were made with the best of intentions after he fell in love with you they were still mostly motivated by his own self interests.”

“Piper….I was evil in a past life and so was Paige. In fact I chose to rule the Underworld beside Cole over my sisters. Why don’t you automatically assume the worst when it comes to us?”

“Paige is now a Whitelighter so she can’t be evil and well, you’re my sister so you can never really be evil.” Upon hearing her own words Piper put her hand over her mouth in shock.

Beside her Phoebe nodded, “Yes, it is shocking how hypocritical we are if we stop and really think about what we say and do. As the Book says the Fates give each person their share of good and evil upon birth. Though Cole only knew him for a very short time he did have a human father with more than his share of goodness inside. We never learned much about his mother, why she chose to have a child with a human or why she killed Benjamin and took Cole away as she did. She had to have known what life would be like for her child.”

“She was a demon Phoebe, I don’t think she cared.”

Phoebe shook her head as she thought out a few things. At the end she had been afraid of how obsessed Cole had gotten but she had been even more scared of how easily she had embraced the evil within herself. She had told Cole that it was too tempting when she was with him and blamed him for her own weakness. Cast adrift as he was Cole had been alone and desperate, it was a wonder he had been same enough to help them when she was a mermaid and to make the choice he did when that demon of fear had stolen his powers. He had been suicidal even before entering that alternate reality Paige had talked about. From the sounds of it that reality had been even worse so it was no surprise that he had been vanquished so easily. Though usually it was the wasteland that demons were vanquished to so it was interesting that he hadn’t ended up in the wasteland of that alternate reality. It caused her to wonder if this banishment really meant he had been vanquished or had died and been judged. This limbo that he seemed held in didn’t feel like an actual sentence or final judgment to her.

Cole may only be assuming that it was his final fate to be there which was why he was trying to save her from it even though it was unclear how or why she would suffer such a fate. The more she thought about the situation and the recent involvement of the Fates the more she felt that once they figured out the key to his release Cole would be free to live life as a normal mortal man. If that was the case Phoebe wasn’t sure how she would handle it or if she even wanted to pursue a life with Cole once he was free. Sighing she wondered who she was trying to kid, of course she would want Cole in her life again. Even after all the pain and all the betrayals she still had hope that somehow their love would win out in the end. At the thought of a possible happily-ever-after for Cole and her Paige and Leo orbed into the attic.

“Okay, other than the Fates are three sisters and the young male we’re heard is apparently Death. What have you learned?” Piper asked as soon as they appeared.

“Not much except that there may be a way to get them to agree to Cole’s release,” answered Paige.

“However it involves an exchange. In other words someone must volunteer to take Cole’s place in order for it to work,” Leo warned the sisters.

A mournful wind swirled around the attic and all four of them could clearly hear a sorrowful “NO!!!” echoed in its wake. Looking at each other the four of them had the same realization that the exchange wasn’t a variable option as it appeared that Cole wouldn’t agree to the exchange anyway.

“I have no reign in this design the answer lies not in old agreements but in open minds and enlightened souls,” the voice of the young male they assumed was Thanatos teased them as the wind died down again but now a new presence could clearly be felt in the attic. As Thanatos rippled the veil between Cole’s existence and theirs the sisters could clearly see Cole standing by the Book of Shadows. Holding his hands up Cole slowly backed away from the Book even as Piper reached over and grabbed it off its stand.

A young woman they now identified as Clotho spoke, “The lesson is still unlearned by those chosen.”

“Yes, one wonders what the future would hold if they were allowed to be judge and jury as the Avatars were,” intoned the grandmotherly voice of Atropos.

“Judging by the past only those who are truly good at the start would receive any type of consideration from these three,” the middle sister, Lakhesis, criticized darkly.

“Hey we’re made exceptions,” Piper protested hotly.

Phoebe laughed slightly at that, “As long as it wasn’t Cole, yes I guess you could say we have given some people a little trust in regards to them turning their lives around. However, when did we even once acknowledge the good that Cole accomplished?”

“He was a demon Phoebe!”

“Yes and so basically were Prue’s football guy and the most recent member of the magic school. Apparently they don’t count as evil in your eyes even though they both were clearly on the same path Cole was before choosing a different direction!” Phoebe almost yelled at Piper while she paced the attic floor. When she finished she threw herself down on the little sofa and clutched a throw pillow to her chest as tears began to flow once again.

Cole looked on in anguish from where he stood by the stand for the Book of Shadows, Thanatos stood beside him preventing him from moving over to comfort Phoebe. Instead Piper set the Book back down on its stand and went over to gather Phoebe into her arms. As Paige and Leo also moved to stand by the couch in silent comfort, a soft white light bathed the Book of Shadows in an unearthly glow.

“Destiny and fate, fate and destiny are forever interwoven. To forgive the past is to strengthen the future, for it is through our mistakes that we learn.”

“I know that voice,” a stunned Paige blurted out.

“Yes, I believe you three have met him before. That’s the voice of the Angel of Destiny apparently adding a few words of wisdom,” Leo informed her.

Paige gave him a ‘you think’ look while Thanatos lifted the Book of Shadows off its stand. Next to him Cole backed up even more so that even the possibility of brushing up against the Book would be remote. Thanatos noticed his movement out of the corner of his eye and a small calculating smile slowly emerged on his face.

“Think fast,” was all the warning Cole got before Thanatos threw the Book right at his chest. Acting on instinct Cole automatically caught it in his hands.

“NO!!!” Leo, Paige, and Piper screamed in unison as Phoebe watched silently with a confident, hopeful, and amazed look on her face.

As Cole stood holding the Book he was now bathed in the soft white glow from above as the Angel of Destiny spoke once more, “Faith, such a fragile and delicate thing to have. To have the faith to believe in ourselves, faith to believe in others and most importantly to have faith in the unknown is the key. To have faith in what you can’t see or touch is almost impossible, yet sometimes such a little thing determines the pattern the Fates weave for you.”

With eyes wide in disbelief Leo, Piper, and Paige listened to the Angel of Destiny and watched Cole as he opened the Book in shock to relevantly feel the pages. Wiping her eyes with the back of her hand Phoebe stood up with a small smile and walked over to where Cole stood. Reaching out she slowly took the Book out of Cole’s hands and placed it back on its pedestal, all the while looking him lovingly in the eyes. Once the Book was out of the way she moved into his arms with the whispered words, “Never again shall I doubt you, never again,” on her lips. With a flash of light the two of them were gone.

“Hey!!” yelled Piper and Paige in protest.

Leo gathered Piper up off the couch and into his arms. “Quiet baby, I think its going to be okay. They need time alone and we need time to readjust some of our preconceptions. Things aren’t the way we think they ought to be, remember the Fates said that. In reality they are more complex and filled with more areas of gray than strictly black and white or good and evil.”

“And so a new design begins to emerge in the pattern being woven for the Charmed Ones,” Clotho smiled as she finished and took her sisters with her as she vanished from the attic.

Thanatos stared at them a moment before saying, “The thread of life is short and filled with tests. Think, learn, and grow so it can be lived to the fullest with no regrets.”

Then he was gone leaving the three of them in a quiet attic, alone with their thoughts.

Thanks! I don't watch much NARUTO but your story made me really laugh. The title of "RANDOM TREE OF TERROR" is kinda misleading but I like that cause you expect something different and it fits the story. BTW, what exactly did you have them on? rofl

Oh and here is the second chapter. Someone said there are misspellings but never said where, if you spot them can you pm me. It's another reason I stopped writing it down, I'm real picky about getting things just "right" in a story or I'm just not gonna do it. lol

Piper walked into the mansion after yet another confrontation that almost resulted in her death, “This is worst than when Prue died, at least then we had Cole to pick up the slack!”

“You could ask Leo to help out until Phoebe returns,” Paige ventured as she followed Piper inside and closed the door.

“No way, its bad enough the boys may lose their mother because we don’t have the Power of Three. I am not putting both our lives on the line and risk leaving them orphans. At least Cole had his demon powers and while he was human we confined him to the mansion as much as possible.”

“Yeah, and that worked oh so well,” laughed Leo as he came down the stairs. “By the way, there is someone who has a few words of wisdom for you upstairs.”

Raising her eyebrows Piper walked over to kiss her husband before climbing the stairs to the attic with Paige following close behind her. Expecting to see Grams as she opened the door, Piper was shocked speechless when she saw Prue waiting impatiently. Moving slowly into the attic Piper wondered how Prue would react to Paige. As Paige entered the room Prue smiled in welcome, silently wishing she could hold her baby sister in her arms for just a moment.

Paige hesitantly smiled back at the sister she had never met before asking, “Is this in regards to our current situation or something new?”

Piper glanced quickly at Paige in surprise at the bluntness of her question.

“Oh I think I’m going to like you, direct and to the point. I just have some words for Piper to ponder. Something I never thought about in life and some words that I actually said but never really applied when it came to Cole.” Looking straight at Piper she continued, “Remember back when we saved Tom, it was then we learned about the Demon Training Camp where they destroy a person’s humanity. At the time it never occurred to us to wonder if Cole was ever put through that camp, he was half-human after all. However, I did wonder what type of witches we would be if we began to pick and chose our innocents.”

“I remember Tom and that horrible wrestling ring but I don’t remember you ever saying that.”

“I do,” Phoebe said solemnly as she and Cole suddenly appeared in the attic.

“Phoebe!!” Both Piper and Paige yelled joyously as they ran to embrace their sister, only to find themselves running right through her.

Behind them Prue chuckled as she said, “Think about it anyway, both of you, and good luck,” before she disappeared.

“Hey!” protested Piper as she stomped her foot in frustration. Turning to face Cole and Phoebe with her hands on her hips Piper demanded some answers, “Ok, Cole what about it, were you ever in a Demon Training Camp? And Phoebe, what’s up with you, are you trapped with him or what?”

Cole grimaced and looked down at the floor as he remembered back to the loveless agony that had filled his childhood, “Yeah Piper I was in a Demon Training Camp from the time I was six until my 30th birthday.”

Phoebe hugged him hard as both Piper and Paige stared at him in astonishment.

“Why so long?” asked Paige.

“Yeah from what I remember the boot camp Tom was in only ran for like four or five years and then it was time for the graduates to experience their first kill. Now granted they wanted Tom to repeat the training but that was because his humanity was coming back,” input Piper.

Cole hugged Phoebe tight as he confirmed Piper’s words, “Your right Piper, the camps do last only a few years, however whenever someone’s humanity either comes back or refuses to be destroyed the demon in question is forced into a harsher, more brutalizing type of training camp. It often happens that a human recruit winds up spending ten years in training but for demons it usually only lasts a year or two, they tend to enjoy the torture. I, however, found it extremely hard to kill until I let Belthazar take over completely, which was not until my 27th year. Up until then I refused to participate in the torture and killing of innocents so more often than not I spent the night half-dead and bleeding on the floor.”

By the time he was finished with his explanation all three sisters were in tears. Phoebe was the first one to gain control of herself just enough to answer Piper, “Anyway Piper, Cole and I will only be this way as long as you two insist on being so stubborn. In fact this test is just the next step in our destiny and as the Charmed Ones we need to learn exactly how human we are before our journey can continue. It’s extremely important that each of us acknowledge how judgmental we can be and the potential for both good AND evil not only in ourselves but in EVERYONE.”

Wrecked with guilt Piper and Paige looked at each other silently for a moment before Paige quietly asked, “Okay, what do we need to do to prove that we are at least trying to change? After all we are mortal; I don’t think we will ever get it 100%.”

Cole chuckled slightly at that, “I for one know how true that statement is. Anyway, don’t worry your test has already been determined and will start soon.” Then both Phoebe and Cole were gone.

“Great, a test thought up by a group of beings who have no faith in us and expect us to fail horribly.”

Paige smiled sickly at Piper’s words, “Yeah, I guess we’re the ones in the hot seat now. Determined to succeed but destined to fail. I wonder how many times Cole felt exactly like we do now.”

Piper nodded her head sadly, “Yup, we made a lot of mistakes with Cole so I guess we deserve some of the pain he went through. However, I for one have done a lot of thinking about how little faith I had in Cole especially compared to all the other people we’ve helped. If our standards had held true we wouldn’t of trusted or helped that warlock priest, Tom, or Drake to name a few, none of which really put his life on the line the way Cole did for us.”

Paige chuckled a little, “Yeah, I’ve done some thinking too. I was so immature, defensive, and scared back then. Poor Cole was such an easy and convenient target for all those destructive emotions.”

Leo chuckled as he entered the attic, “I was wondering what was taking so long and here I find both of you on a massive guilt trip. Paige, yes you were a brat in hindsight and yes, Piper you do tend to have more faith in everyone who isn’t Cole. However, the two of you aren’t alone on this little guilt trip. Cole risked his life to save Piper from the Source and to gather information for us, yet even then I was leery of trusting him with your lives or defending him to the Powers that Be, even when he was human. A Whitelighter may be excused for not trusting a demon but the same rules don’t apply to mortals, and I still trusted other demons more than I did Cole in ALL his forms.”

Piper walked over to hug him tight, she had never stopped to think that perhaps her husband also needed to learn a lesson from all this.

Sighing, Paige broke the silence, “Well, I guess we’ll find out if we’ve made any type of progress in their eyes once this ‘test’ begins.”

“I hope it begins soon, I want Phoebe AND Cole back,” groused Piper as she led the exit from the attic. A warm breeze flowed through the attic once the three had left, quietly closing the door behind them.

Two months later Piper and Paige were still waiting on the Fates to send their little test of faith. Tucking Chris in, Piper wondered if perhaps they had already been tested, and failed. Sighing in frustration she bent to hiss her son’s forehead just as a loud thump reverberated across the ceiling as something heavy slammed into the attic floor. Quickly checking that Chris was still asleep Piper then ran out into the hallway, nearly bumping into Paige and Leo who had also noticed the noise. Running up the stairs the three of them barged through the attic door, ready to take on whoever or whatever was there. However the only thing that greeted them was the sight of a young teenager lying singed and unconscious on the attic floor. Pushing past Leo and Piper, Paige ran over and kneeled down next to the young man. Leo and Piper slowly followed her and stood watching as she attempted to heal him, so Leo was in the perfect position to see her have the same type of trouble healing the kid as he had had the first time he had attempted to heal Cole. Thinking quickly he bent over and grabbed Paige’s hands away just as a small bolt of electricity sparkled between the two, “Watch it Paige, looks like he has some demon blood and that stings once the human part of him is healed.”

“I see that, thanks Leo,” Paige laughed a little unsteadily as the teenager began to come around.

Piper pulled the afghan off of the small sofa in the corner and covered him with it, “I wonder who he is and what happened,” she wondered as she knelt down to check his injuries.

“Looks like he was in some sort of fire fight before shimmering here,” Leo replied.

“Why would he shimmer here?” Paige asked.

“I didn’t shimmer anywhere, I walked up into the attic to look up the demon HE had sent to kill me and straight into a portal that dropped me here,” the teenager mumbled weakly as he began to come around.

“Was it a swirling blue vortex with white lights?” Leo inquired as he knelt down to gently place a cushion under the boy’s head.

The youngster opened his blue eyes to look groggily up at Leo in surprise, “Yes, how did you know?”

Laughing slightly as she held his hand Piper said, “Yes, or at least Leo and I do. It was a time tunnel and from my experience plus the way your talking I’d say your from the future, where the Powers to Be still act first and inform never. I’m Piper, by the way, the guy by your head is Leo, and Paige was the one who tried to heal you.”

“Feels like she’s a Whitelighter,” the teen smiled weekly, “Remind me to show you how to get around my demon side, and my name’s Benjamin but you can call me Ben.”

Paige knelt down to take Ben’s other hand as laughed as she said, “I’ll definitely take you up on that Ben, especially if I have to keep healing you.”

Ben laughed weakly as he struggled to stand up with Leo and Piper’s help, “Chris could teach you a few things if he was here. He learned a lot those first few months after HE came to power.”

Piper and Leo looked at each other quickly when they heard the name Chris; suddenly remembering that Ben had said he had been in the attic to research a demon.

“Um, Ben, are Chris and you Halliwells by any chance?” asked Leo.

Ben started a little in shock before finally looking them all over intently as he said, “Yeah, Christopher and I are both sons of a Charmed One. In fact, I think I know you three now and I don’t know how much more I should say here.”

Paige chuckled a little, “I’m not sure it’s gonna matter one way or another. It seems the future changes with each action anyway and just your being here has probably already changed it. I’m guessing your Chris is Piper and Leo’s little boy but which of us do you belong to is the question.”

Now Ben eyed them warily, even pulling slightly away from Piper and Leo, “I’m your test?! The test you all fail and which leads to HIS evil reign of power! Oh, gods I must have really been out of it not to realize who you were when you first said your names.” With those words Ben pushed away from them all and stormed painfully to the attic door where he paused a moment to say, “The full name’s Benjamin Halliwell Turner, you figure out who my parents are. I’m sure once you do you won’t be pleased and you’ll certainly start treating me differently,” before continuing out and down the stairs.

After a brief moment of stunned silence Piper scrambled after Ben with Leo and Paige close on her heels. As they thundered down the stairs she wondered out loud, “If we fail this test wouldn’t Cole and Phoebe be caught in between or wherever they are? How can they have a child who is saving the world in the future if they don’t exist except in between worlds?”

“I don’t know Piper, maybe it has something to do with the evil force of power Ben kept talking about or maybe Phoebe is returned to us whether or not we pass,” Leo said as they reached the bottom of the stairs and saw no one.

“Ben!” shouted Piper as she walked into the room.

“I’ll check the kitchen,” Leo volunteered.

“And I’ll check the bedrooms,” Paige volunteered as she turned around and began to climb back up the way she had come.

Meanwhile in a place between realities Ben phased in to ask, “Are you sure this is going to work? In all the possible futures you’ve shown me HE still chooses to use his power to destroy instead of to heal.”

“Yes, his thread was begun with a misplaced bite of chocolate and is influenced in part by his place of birth,” Anthropus replied as she and her sisters appeared before him.

“However, that destiny is already in motion and it is not why this test is important,” Lachesis told him.

“Then why is this test important? Especially my participation in it as I am only the manifestation of a remote possibility.”

“The Charmed Ones must learn the importance of free will in every aspect of every life else many innocents will be lost simply because of who they are and the path they have chosen. You were chosen not only because of who you are but because your thread weaves us,” Clotho explained.

Puzzled and more than a little confused Ben asked, “My thread weaves you? I don’t even exist yet and if on some alternate plane or time I do that still doesn’t explain how my particular life thread can influence the Fates.”

“The Fates are not all your thread weaves as it demands to be created and woven,” Thanatos informed him as he appeared.

“How and why are questions we have all tried to answer to no avail but the fact remains that your thread is tied to this world for some reason. It is time for your destiny to begin, thus you are the perfect test for the Charmed Ones as you will be no matter the outcome and they must learn to deal with it,” the Angel of Destiny filled in as he also appeared.

“Then what is my destiny if I’m so important and powerful?” asked Ben.

The Angel of Destiny just smiled knowingly as he faded out. Thanatos shook his head as he answered him, “Even if he knows, which I doubt, he’s not telling anyone that little secret you’ll just have to wait and see like the rest of us.”

“Meanwhile, you have to go back and help my sisters pass this test son,” Phoebe pleaded as she materialized.

“Mom!” Ben exclaimed in surprise as he ran over and hugged her. After embracing her for a minute or two Ben pulled back to look at his mother, “What about you? You had trouble believing in Dad too you know.”

Phoebe smiled sadly as she remembered how she had lashed out at Cole during the times he needed her most, “I didn’t listen to my instincts or my heart son, I only listened to my doubts. It didn’t help that my sisters fed those fears with theirs instead of having faith in my judgment, but I take full responsibility for my actions and while your father’s forgiveness helps I know I have to deal with the consequences of my actions.”

Ben caressed her cheek as he smiled, “To admit that you and you alone are responsible for the actions and choices you make is all that is asked here mom. From the sounds of it you have finally stopped blaming everyone else and taken responsibility for both the good and evil that resides inside you.”

Phoebe smiled at her son’s confidence in her but she just had to ask one last thing, “Ben, the attic you are claiming to have been in before being swept into the time portal isn’t the manor’s attic is it, it’s actually a totally different attic isn’t it?”

“No Mom, the manor has been claimed by the other side and HE keeps the Grimwore Leo hid there now. I’m sorry.”

With tears in her eyes Phoebe nodded sadly accepting the truth and then hugged her son one last time before she disappeared. The Three Fates and Thanatos quickly followed her, but just as they faded out the Angel of Destiny appeared again. “When you go back remind them that nothing is ever written in stone, not even destiny. Every choice creates a path that really only leads to another choice not a pre-destined future, not even for HIM,” and with those last few words of wisdom the Angel was gone again. He left Ben behind contemplating the possibility that the Fates were wrong and even Wyatt’s choices could be changed. With hope in his heart that not only would he benefit from his Aunts passing this test but that maybe his cousin’s choices would be different Ben shimmered back to the manor, arriving in the kitchen just as Leo came through the door from the dining area.
“Ah, here you are Benjamin. You really should give us a chance here, we’ve done a lot of thinking over the last few months and I think we would even at least listen to the Devil himself before vanquishing him,” Leo smiled tentatively at Ben as he finished in the hopes that the boy would smile a little in return.

He was surprised but glad when Ben actually chuckled, “Leo, while the Source may be vanquished I think you really shouldn’t go as far as to listen to anything the current headman has to say before vanquishing his butt. Trust me; it will save a lot of heartache later.”

Leo shook his head, it sounded like they weren’t the only ones who needed to learn a few things about snap decisions, “I’ll take your word about that for now but in the meantime the girls are looking for you so let’s go round them up and discuss things in the living room. OK?”

Ben nodded and as Leo turned to lead the way back into the living room a calculating look came into his eyes. It was time to test them all with a few truths about his dad that would make it look like Cole had once again either twisted the truth to fool them or outright lied to them. That is, unless they took the time to question what he said and actually listen to the answers a major skill they rarely used when it came to matters involving his dad. Though, as he moved into the living room and saw Piper, he did wonder how he could work his revelations into the conversation. Piper, on the other hand, had only one thing on her mind once she saw Ben and that was to hug him close before guiding him over to sit on the couch. Leo meanwhile had run upstairs to get Paige, who orbed them both into the living room seconds later. Paige immediately went over to lean down and hug Benjamin close.

“Welcome to the family Benjamin Turner,” she said before giving him a quick peck on the cheek and sitting on the table across from him.

Ben smiled cynically at her, “No need to pretend here, we all know you don’t trust me any more than the Source trusted Dad. Even though Dad killed his first innocent at the age of six, younger than any full blooded demon had ever been initiated into the killing games.”
Piper’s forehead creased in confusion as she sat forward in her chair, “I’m not going with my first instinct here, which is to immediately believe Cole lied to us, but I do want you to explain that statement. There must be a reason he would tell us he refused to torture and kill innocents until his twenty-second birthday and yet you say he killed his first innocent at the tender age of six, which is when he said he went into the training camps.”

Now Ben smiled for real, Piper had passed the first test by not judging until she had all the facts. He allowed his hopes to rise as he said, “Right, he did steadfastly refuse to torture and kill innocents for a long time. Dad was about eighteen, almost nineteen years old before his teachers figured out that it was Belthazar who enjoyed the kill and that the key was to trick Dad into letting his evil side rule. His mother was vanquished shortly after the Source placed him in his first training camp, with demons twice his age, so they never found out that she had tricked him into letting Belthazar out to kill the innocent who looked like he was about to kill her.”

Paige gasped, “Oh my god, how cruel. How did they affect the change in the training camps?”

“By bringing forth the human emotions that best suit demons, like anger or rage. Then they just needed to weaken Cole by keeping Belthazar in control for longer and longer periods of time. The more he rebelled at keeping his human half suppressed the worse they tortured him, even almost to the point of death towards the end there.”

“I remember that the bounty hunter said something about the fact that the longer Belthazar was in his human form the weaker he became,” Piper mused out loud as her forehead wrinkled in thought, “Also that priest with the empathic gift mentioned something about how demons couldn’t handle human emotions.”

“Right, that’s why Cole was so successful in suppressing Belthazar and controlling the Source but it is also one of the reasons he got so obsessive in the end. Which is why I don’t do demons period, not even a half-breed like Cole,” Cupid said as he appeared.

Leo put a restraining hand on Paige as she began to rise, “Its okay, that’s just Cupid, we’ve helped him before. So, Phoebe and Cole were like Piper and me, they fell in love all on their own?”

Nodding his head Cupid confirmed what Leo suspected, “Right, their bond was forged by their souls and is actually a lot stronger than most soul mates I know, even yours and Piper’s bond.”

well, this one is a oneshot from Naruto.
If you want to see what happens when Hinata takes off her jacket, read! http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3590291/1/

Naruto huh, the one anime that I really only barely watched when I did watch it.
Neat story but from what I remember isn't he interested in umm some pink hair girl that likes that other quiet dude? I think I remember Hinata being interested in him, if I have the right girl.
Is this a dream or just your take on what might happen if he "really" saw her? Which, if I remember right, might take more than a sexy bod because he was so single minded and kinda not all there lol.
