So what's your philosophy when dealing with others, or have I just confused ya?
Basically mine gets reworded a lot, but I do believe that Lady Sovereign summed it up nicely in one of her songs: "Love me or hate me, that is the question. If you love me, then thank you. If you hate me, then f--- you!"
Mine came about after middle school when I finally got tired with people teasing me for being different and liking different things. So therefore I decided to be myself and do what I wanted and it's worked ever since. I also decided when I got to college to be myself because I was the only kid from my high school who went there so I knew no one from home. Obviously it worked... cause I am easily able to play off having a few Power Ranger figures in my room, as well as my ever growing collection of colorful rubber ducks.
So what's your philosophy?

My philosophy for people on a bad day is, "you leave me alone and I'll leave you alone", on a good day "How can I help make this person a little happier today"
Philosophy is a wonderful course of study

Hmm...mostly, I treat people like they treat me, and if I don't know them, I'm nice.

I don't like most people, and I ignore them or grouch at them until they leave me alone. 3nodding

"Be nice until they piss me off." In general.

It's like my band teacher always told me:
"Don't argue with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level an' whup your a** with experience."
O-O;;; 'Nuff said.
But seriously, respect an' respect alike. That's how I live. If there's mutual respect, then I've got no reason not to get along. If there's no mutual respect, then you an bet anything that I'm not gonna be a nice girl. =D
But no worries. I respect y'all.

I guess mine would be "treat others the way you'd like to be treated", although it can be difficult to stick to when I'm in a bad mood. I try to be nice to everyone, and if I can't be nice then I'm at least polite.

Basically, I pretend I love everybody. Even the ones who piss me off, as long as they haven't outright tried to be a b***h. If people annoy me excessively, I basically just ignore them unless they talk to me, and when they do, my responses are simple and concise. Eventually, they leave me alone.
And it works incredibly well. I can't say I have a single person at my school who dislikes me. Perhaps if more people knew I was a lesbian they might, but it's not too obvious at all, so I get along with most everyone.

I can't emphasize enough that, unless you have a diagnosed emotional/behavioral/etc. problem that you can't afford to treat, you are in control. You can't control what happens to you, only how you react. People CHOOSE to stir up drama, people CHOOSE to be violent, people CHOOSE to disrupt others. And people can CHOOSE to negate these acts by standing up to them and by not letting themselves be effected.

Firescares Philosophy is a wonderful course of study *tackle-hugs you for SO many reasons* Yes. I'm one of those people who loves seeing other people happy. So I try to be sunshiney to everyone, in the hope of brightening up their day. Unless they throw rocks at me. Then I leave them to their foul misery. D:<

It's not nice when they throw meat, either. Besides being a waste of sadly-slaughtered flesh, it's really gross to get out of your hair.
FINE. THROW MEAT. I'LL JUST GO BE HAPPY SOMEPLACE ELSE. *Naruto eye-pull-down-tongue-stick-out motion*
