Kaepora Gaebora is one of the coolest characters, so it would be cool if it was him. But did you considered the fact that it could just be....

True, then again it could just be a little acknowledgement to him. Like the bit in OoT when you complete the Desert Colossus you see an owl flying off which resembles KG, and then in Link's Awakening you're guided by a mysterious owl. Isn't there a part in TP where it has a little acknowledgement to Tingle? (I still haven't played it... cry )

I hate the owl too... and the dude who runs the STAR game reminds me of Tingle... looks like him, and he takes your money. Just like Tingle.
