Well, us guild mod geeks have given up all hope of having any life whatsoever and have been spending our days trying to come up with a new contest. Just kidding! We still have lives outside the guild. Well, most of us. lol But enough of that. Basically, we decided that since you are the ones entering the contests, you should be the ones deciding on what the contest will be. We have nine ideas that have been suggested by not only the mods but you, the guild-goers. xD We need a creative writing contest that everyone can have fun with. The next contest is set for July/August, but it all depends on you. Basically, the sooner you vote, the sooner the new contest is up and running. We're experimenting with some new ideas, but we need your help. Update:
Here are the final nine...
1. Criteria: Gaian Avis (What's the story behind your avatar?)
2. Genre: Science Fiction
3. Theme: Friendship
4. Criteria: Picture Prompt
5. Genre: Myth (Either write a new one or put a new spin on an old one!)
6. Criteria: Make us Laugh!
7. Criteria: Quote Prompt
8. Theme: Love
9. Criteria: Rewrite the ending of your favorite story! (How did Alice REALLY get down that rabbit hole? Did Voldemort kill Harry in the first book?)

I am alive again...
My suggestions, as now one else is saying a single thing.. :
Writing Contest Prompts:
1. People being 'trapped in their own minds'.
2. How love doesn't seem to care what manner of species you are, be it demon, angel, naga, vampire, even if the one you love is simply a human.
3. How having to much time can be a bad thing. ( A bit vague, but that makes it very flexible. xD This subject can range on many different things. )
Art Contest Themes:
1. People being 'trapped in their own minds'.
2. Avatar art, of course. xD
3. Nagas. Like centaurs, only their lower halves are snake instead of horse. Go to www.deviantart.com and type in 'naga' or 'nagas' in the search bar. Snapesnogger being one of the best artists to look at, if you're not sure what they are.
And that's all I got.. I hope I was some help instead of just taking up space.. redface

What about something like a picture promt? I got a new bracelet on vacation and it's very inspiring when you look at it. xD It's made of twisted colored glass.

Here are a couple of prompt suggestions that could be interesting..
1. Someone from the twenty-first century being trapped in the fifteenth century-how they got their and how they're coping.
2. A completely sane person being trapped in a mental asylum.
3. The last human on earth
4. Two worlds collide

1. entwines with myth and stories of the past and share a different side of it, for example pick something from greek myth and create a new story that is involved with it
2. explains why things are today or a certain event that involves your person

I've got a contest idea:
Anyone can write to depress, discourage, or move to tears... but there are few in the world who have real comedic talent. I want to know who they are!
It'll be the "Make Us Laugh" contest... wink
If you don't use it this time, feel free to tuck it away for another day.

I understand that the idea part is closed and I like the part about Mid-September. Guess my question should of read different. You say "...have ALL the votes in..." What are you looking at in regards to "ALL the votes"? Some people may not be gonna to vote and they could ALL be in now and quite possibly you could post the contest if that was so. Then again, come mid-September, there could still be some people out there who want to vote but haven't and we will still be waiting. That is what I ment about a time limit to the voting...if you get what I'm getting at.... smile Sorry to be a pain about it but really out of ideas at the moment and actually some of these ideas that are in the lead have given me some suggestions. Too many in my head to get something rolling, though I have written down some starts...if I had a better idea of what was gonna win and a time limit I could get motivated to choose and WRITE!! rofl (hopefully)
