The Forces of Light
Below is a list of the Forces of Light. All of these races are allied together, and as such, rarely have anything to do with the other two forces.
Human
Your normal, more common race. Not much need be explained here, I'm sure, since we are all humans. They can be pretty near any class you desire.
High Elf
The "Good Elves", the High Elves are usually rather snotty, claiming to be the "best of the races." They follow the Goddess Belia, and are usually Paladins, Priests, or some other form of "Holy" class, including warrior. They refuse to use any "dark magic", and thus, cannot be such classes as warlocks, pyromancers, necromancers, etc. They live mainly in the High Isles, a group of Islands to the Northeast, where the "High Altar" can be found, which is the largest temple to Belia in the world.
Dragon-men
The Dragon-men are a group of half-dragon, half-human creatures. They are usually more dragon then human, though, in that they have dragon heads, with human bodies, while their bodies are colored and scaly like dragons. They are excellent warriors, and do what they can to please their god, Jinsei - The God of Creation. They do not believe that they kill to destroy, but they kill to maintain a balance in the world. They are usually warriors, Rune Masters, Mages, or similar classes. They are one of the few who can be Paladins. There are five kinds of Dragon-men - Gold, Silver, Bronze, Brass, and Copper Click to see the creatures they are based off of for better ideas on how they look. Info on each is listed below:
- Brass: These tend to be the "weakest" of dragon-men. They are, however, the most common. They hold no magical ability, but, when killed, they can be brought back to life easily, as a Brass dragon-man turns into a statue upon death. This only works, however, if they are not chopped in half, decapacitated, or die of any other means then being poisoned, stabbed, or similar. Basically, if they are missing an essential body part (head, torso, etc), they crumble to dust, instead of turning to stone.
Bronze: These ones are rather nasty. They make good assassins, in that they carry around poisonous weapons, poisoned by their own tongues. Their tongues and claws are naturally poisonous. Bronze dragon-men can also spit acid if they so desire. If they die, they turn into a pool of acid, which slowly evaporates. Anyone touching it is in for a world of pain.
Copper: These guys are dangerous. They are fairly good spell casters, though usually skilled in either the arts of Fire or Earth. This is due to the fact that they explode when killed, which means their inner mana pools are generally affinited to either Fire or Earth. However, they can attack with small weapons, such as short swords and similar things.
Silver: These are probably the most dangerous in a way, due to their abilities of slight shape shifting. All Silver Dragon-men have four forms: Non-Dragon (usually either elf or human), Dragon-man, Dragon, and "Chibi Dragon" which is a smaller, cuter form of the dragon stage. They are extremely good mages, but do not use their magic as much as Gold or Copper ones do, as they enjoy wielding large, two-handed weapons, with a single hand. It is this that makes them dangerous, as they can wield two two-handed weapons if they so desired with the difficulty a human has with a single handed long sword. They are also extremely fast, which makes them even more deadly. A normal silver dragon-man can attack with both his swords in the amount of time it takes for someone to normally swing a single sword. However, as they can become full dragons, they are limited, in that their full dragon forms only last for a short period of time, and aren't as strong as a normal Dragon.
Gold: These are very dangerous creatures. Gold Dragon-men are naturally affinited to two styles of magic: Aurik and Lightning. Aurik magic is the use of waves (like sound waves, light waves, etc.) to do damage to their opponent. This works well, in that these waves can be used to damage anyone around them, or even create magical shields if they so desire. However, they have one slight disadvantage, in that they are so skilled in magic, they are unskilled in any type of weaponry. They are also the only Dragon-man type who has no wings, as such, are the only ones that cannot fly. When killed, these creatures go into a rampage, and destroy anything they can until all of their magic is released from their body. Usually, they cannot release it fast enough, and thus, they explode with a greater force then Coppers do.
The Gray Moon Crusaders
Below is a list of the Graymist Crusaders. All of these races are allied together, and as such, rarely have anything to do with the other two forces.
Wood Elf
The Neutral Elves, the Wood Elves live in the woods and forests, keeping them, and using their aid to survive. They are excellent in stealth, and excel with range weaponry. As such, they are usually hunters or rogues, and are rarely anything else. They, like many other races, cannot be Paladins, as they do not serve the Goddess, Belia. As they also do not serve Karok, the God of Hatred, or Necroasa, the Goddess of Chaos, they cannot be Warlocks, or anything else that uses dark magic either. However, they tend to be great Wood Benders and Rune Masters.
Minotaur
The cow tribes of Karatum (Car-ah-toom), they are massive beasts that stand many feet in height. They are half bull and half human. They were once a demon tribe of the Nightmares, but seperated during the First Great War. They then joined forces with the Wood Elves and the Dwarves. Minotaurs attempt to be peaceful creatures, as such, are not very skilled as warriors, but as healers, and druids. They follow the Goddess of Healing, Lily, more then any other god or goddess.
Drak-shanri (Dark Ones)
Below is a list of the Drak-shanri (Drok-shawn-ree). All of these races are allied together, and as such, rarely have anything to do with the other two forces.
Dark Elf
The "Evil Elf", the Dark Elves are actually known by the name "Drak-shal" (Drok-shall) in their own tongue. The name means "Forsaken Ones" and is used to show that they were forsaken by their elven brothers, and by Belia. They serve the Goddess Necroasa and the God Karok. As such, they are usually Chaos Warriors, Warlocks, Necromancers, Pyromancers, or any other "dark magic/evil" class. In all truth, though, they are not truly evil. They, however, are one of the few who can be Chaos Warriors, the exact opposite of a Paladin.
Orc
The orcs, a tribe of beasts with an unknown origin. They are green, and extremely aggressive. Most are rather bulky, and they find their skills mainly in the warrior path. However, they do also tend to go other paths, but none are truly magical. They prefer engaging in hand-to-hand combat then using magic, which is why the most of their magical classes are Rune Masters, Shamans, or similar, more close range magic users. They, however, are one of the few who can be Chaos Warriors, the exact opposite of a Paladin.
Neko
The cat tribe of Darunia (Dar-oo-knee-ah), they are half human-half cat creatures. Their females are best known as "Cat Girls", as they look human, but have cat ears and tails. They were once a tribe of the Nightmares, but seperated during the Second Great War, in which they joined with the Dark Elves. They are known for their aggressive nature, however, and are usually excellent with the sword, or skilled in elemental magic.
More races may be added to the list over time, but for now, that is enough.
