In Stephenie Meyer's book Twilight, a human named Bella Swan plays with fire. She begins a relationship with a vampire named Edward Cullen. As the vampires battled and chased, legend lived on, hidden in shadow. As the New Moon approaches, Bella's friend, Jacob Black, undergoes a change. Soon, his secret is revealed. Vampires have a longstanding enemy: werewolves. Jacob and the rest of the pack keep civil, if not grudging treaty with the vampires. But what is their story?

For vampires, twilight is a safe time, but for werewolves, when the moon shines, they are truly free.

((Takes place about one week after the end of New Moon.))
