Um.. hey.. this is a poem I wrote for school a LONG time ago, that I like completely re-did, so it's like... better now. xD
I hope you like it.. it might be confusing for some people.. I'm sorry if that happens..
The Secrets the Koi Held
The koi swam in their safe seclusion,
Covered by the veil of water, knowing
That in this place that would be forever
Safe from harm. Or so they thought.
A single white feather drifted on the
Wind's gentles caresses, as it coaxed
The feather to the veil. As soft as a
Maiden's kiss, the feather landed on the veil.
The koi paid the feather no mind, as they
Were used to such an arrival. Their
Master, with long white tresses and eyes
So blue they would make a pirate swoon.
Delicately, as softly as the feather, the
Mage of the Koi carefully walked ontop
On the surface of the crystal clear veil
Of water, saying hello to his friends.
The kois whispered hellos to him in return,
Whispers that only he could hear. The
Wind blew, driving his waste long hair into
Gentle waves, as kneeled ontop on the veil.
Secrets and memories he told them,
Pouring them out to his beloved koi. And
They, in return for a safe place to call
Home, protected this mage's memories.
The man had lived young, those his
Features lied and called him young,
And his mind was overflowing, so the
Koi helped ease the pressure.
But now equally long, golden tendrils
Spun in the air, clad in black with eyes
Like daggers, seeing through glasses
Upon this newcomers nose.
The Koi sensed the danger, but it
Was too late, and the wings upon the
Mage's back split apart. Soon, the
Veil was littered with blood white feathers.
He could hear it, the seering, painful
Cries of his friends as they worried
For their master. Pearly white wings
And memories were all he had left.
"My wings, you destroyed them," the
Mage uttered, in a pained voice, as his
Entire body shook. The veil below became
Dyed red with the blood pouring from his back.
A honey-dipped voice answered cruelly,
"Of course I did, but Koyuki, there
Is nothing you can do about it," and that
Was that. Koyuki fell into the water.
He twisted his body to look upon the
Pearly white, glowing moon, the only
Witness to the crime. The Koi swam
Above and around him, trying to protect him.
His eyes went wide, and he heard words
Of an ancient tounge, and all the
Bodies of his beloved Koi burst,
And the water became permanently dyed red...
"No more memories, just pain," Koyuki
The mage uttered in his mind, his eyes
Of blue too dyed red from the water.
With his memories and his wings gone...
The moon took him into it's warm,
Lit embrace and pulled his soul from
The water, as the veil was forever left
The task of carrying decaying bodies of red.
