''Do you believe in vampires? I do. I've seen just about all of them. The nice ones....The mean ones....The cunning, smart, and clever. The cruel, blood-lusting, and enraged. Yet...All of them are the same.''-Anya Rovena, 1618A.D

-Blood.
All they see is blood.
However we are not like most.
We are not mindless....Blood leeches.
We are man.

Well....Mostly anyways.

The Vampire Sanctuary wants you, for your unique talents. Meet at the old theatre in London town square. You will not be disappointed...-

In the year 1618A.D, in London, England, people across the nation are dying of the plague. In this disease....Hides monsters however. The plague is the perfect cover-up for these creatures, and the innocent who are their prey don't live to tell of their existance. Vampires. In these such times, there was a certain vampire named George Bomfrei, whom created a sort of Vampyric guild for those who went against the attack of mortals. Thought that humans and vampires were the same. This guild is dubbed the Vampire Santuary, he's out to discover members...

CHARACTERS

-Username-Rikku-Liia

Name: Anya Rovena
Age: 18
Race: Human
Power/Ability: Learns things fast
Likes: Sleeping, eating, laughing at the city guards
Dislikes: Hiding from the 'pound' officers of orphans, being hungry
Crush: None
Weakness/Strength: Her buddies
Other: She has three orphan friends-Freia, Andy, And Conner
Bio: Prior to a year ago, she has no idea who she was or where she came from
Appearance: User Image

-Name: Kira Shaw (Used to be Abigale Hammond)
Age: appears to be in her early twenties, but is in fact 65
Race: vampire
Power/Ability: telekinetics and an ability to control/communicate with predatory animals (carnivores). Also has the basic increased senses, speed and strength.
Likes: cooking, sewing, taking long walks through the city, stargazing and taking care of others. also loves cats.
Dislikes: the cold, day time, swimming, and fish
Crush: none
Weakness/Strength: Kira is not an old vampire, so she is still not great at controlling her bloodlust. Also, her sire did not stick around, so she is not very knowledgeable about being a vampire. She has very strong powers, though.
Other: Kira always seems to have an animal with her, especially cats. She lives in a decent sized town house and enjoys the arts.
Bio: Kira lived a normal, high class life before she was turned. She was the perfect daughter, and soon to be married. It was not a marriage of love, but one of sensibility, her family would prosper from the union, nothing more, nothing less. Then Kira was out late one night, walking the streets as she so often did, thinking about it, and was attacked by a vampire. The vampire bit her... then turned her, and left her in the back alley.
She had no clue what had happened. She just knew that she was different, that sunlight hurt and that she longed for blood. She tried to deny it, but two days after she was turned, Kira's bloodlust became too great. She turned on her own family and killed them all. After that, she fled from high society, changing her name. She killed at random, never in full control, and for many years was always running. Eventually, though, she figured things out and managed to settle down to a quiet life. The plague was a great help to her, as she never liked to kill those that were healthy and happy. She did not want to be what she was, and she tried to only kill people she thought deserved it, or sick people. She has heard rumors of this vampire sanctuary and is highly interested.
Appearance: Kira She stands at 5 foot 7 and is slender. She often wears dark dresses.

-Username- Maxlacus

Name: Max
Age: Looks 19 is actually an elder.
Race: Vampire
Power/Ability: Increased speed, strength, and senses as all vampires. She also has the ability to shift into and out of darkness, very useful for a vampire considering they thrive in darkness. She also has the ability of energy fire, which is very much like real fire though much more controllable. A few small other powers that are rarely seen or used. She has the ability to steal life force which is a very strong and addicting ability, its stronger than blood. She does this through portals in her hands which are in the shape of a large ‘X’ This however she no longer uses.
Likes: Talking to people on occasion. She has a huge interest in mortals even though she’s probably been one of the ones around them the longest. She does also occasionally like to take vampires under wings.
Dislikes: Loud obnoxious people. Vampires who believe they know it all and act as though they can control the world. Those vampires who kill recklessly and only for pleasure.
Crush: None.
Weakness/Strength: Strength’s include eye sight and emotional poise. Weakness include two very tender spots on her back and bits of her past.
Other:
Bio: Born when mortals were nothing, death by her own will. A suicide angel. Dead she did not stay though. She came back and lived her life until she was nineteen. It was at this time that a rare disease was given to her. A lover she could never forget gave her the gift of immortality. During her transformation she became a mix between the suicide angel she was supposed to be and the vampire she was becoming. Beautiful and deadly at the same time. She lived as this mix for over six centuries before the young vampire was no longer good enough for her lover. During one of their love makings the lover tore her wings from her back and left her bleeding upon the bed. The young woman healed but not inside. She has never really been able to approach mortals and has lived her life in near isolation because of the way she looks. The markings upon her skin was part of her suicide angel side.
She is now an elder having killed and absorbed many of the previous elders in her more selfish days. She is sometimes considered a monstrosity among vampires but there is no denying her skill and strength.
Appearance: Max She is around five feet and nine inches. She is quite skinny. She does not have the wings as was explained above but the markings are very much real. Her eyes are completely black as well as her hair, which is also about as it is in the picture. She appears older whenever her hair is up but often she wears it down as a mask to the outside world.

((Hope you don't mind. I got excited. I can change font colors too if you need it))

O the darkness, how we love it. How we worship it and cuddle it as though it were a tiny babe in our arms. How it makes our blood scream with delight and make us hunger for the night. What thing but blood or souls could taste so sweet but be so daringly wrong.
She stopped writing and looked up at the large clock face. It was so close it was hard to read but she knew the positions of the hands well enough to know exactly what time it was. Big Ben was usually a happening place for vampires but it was so difficult for others to get up there at least those that were young so at least there weren’t that many who were young. In fact tonight she was lucky enough to be alone. She looked down at the old ratted journal. It was only written in whenever her mind was extremely heavily burdened. Tonight was a special night to be writing in it. She was considering going to this ‘Vampire Sanctuary” thing. It sounded awful suspicious to her but she was going to try it at least. She could hide in the shadows all night if she wanted so the danger was not there but being discovered by hunters would make things harder on herself in the long run.
Her long black hair was left to be free today and thus as the journal was put back into the bag beside her as she turned upside down to face downward on Big Ben her hair tumbled down ward before she started to fall face first down towards the ground. She closed her black eyes and spread her arms with the bag in one hand. She was wearing a long black trench coat today which was not out of place for a vampire. Especially one who looked like she, one who couldn’t even pass for mortal in appearance though she was more mortal that most mortals were in a minds eye. As she neared the base of Ben she turned slowly in the air before she hit the ground but she didn’t actually hit. She disappeared into the darkness. She appeared a small bit away and began to walk towards the London Theater. Her long hair and the fact that her body practically disappeared whenever anyone was close enough to see her, usually did the trick to hiding her abnormal skin.
“What if I get myself into something really bad this time? Man I always do.” she said sighing inside of her head. “I wonder who’s actually running this little get together thing. Surely it’s someone of age..” she thought to herself though she hadn’t gotten much insight to these questions, or else she wouldn’t be asking herself them over and over again. She was quite old but it didn’t mean that she knew everything and she certainly didn’t act like it, though she was quite knowledgeable. Especially in the sciences and art, she had always had a particular interest in those subjects.
She shifted through walls of the theater once she was close enough and crouched in the rafters. She closed her eyes for she had already masked her aura though it was quite large. She wore black pants that were rather tight and a black shirt with it. The coat was still on and her hair still did the job of hiding her face as she leaned forward slightly and looked around the floor of the theater. She wanted to see if there was anything going on yet. Suddenly feeling like a child in the large vicinity even though she was probably far older than most of these people.

"I'm sorry." She telepathically whispers to the human's mind as it begins to slip away, fading into nothingness. "Rest in peace, child." She adds as the last bit of blood flows down her throat. She was a monster.... True, the human in her arms was sick, dying of the plague.... but she was still a monster. The human wasn't even in her teens yet. Just a little girl, a child. She had killed a child. Kira sighs, opening her eyes as she lays the small girl back down on her bed. Her face was the picture of white death.... but at least it was serene now. Kira tried to think that she had ended the child's life out of mercy, saved her from the pain of the plague... but she knew it was just hunger that had lead her to break into this child's bedroom and steal away the last of her life. Straightening, Kira turns away, wiping her mouth clean, then brushes away a few wayward tears. Forty years and she still sometimes shed tears after killing. She was too soft for a vampire. For the billionth time, Kira wondered why her sire had done this to her. Anybody could tell she came from a life of luxury and pampering. There wasn't a single evil bone in her body... or at least... there hadn't been, forty years ago.
Kira sighs and shakes her head. She needed to stop reflecting on the past. She was a vampire, and it wasn't going to change, lest she finally ever got up the courage to end it.... but she'd never do that. Turning to the window, Kira walks over and opens it, then steps up on the sill and looks around the dark city of London. What had she been doing before losing herself to the bloodlust?... Oh, right, the old London theatre. Kira turns her head to where she knew it would be, then pushes herself from the window and jumps to the ground. Kira lands in a crouch, her dark skirts rippling around her, then straightens up and smooths out the simple dark blue dress before she starts to walk down the street towards the town square.
Upon reaching the theatre, Kira hesitates, then shakes her head. She'd never really encountered other vampires before, not in civilized company or meetings like this... odd as that sounded. She wasn't sure what to expect.... so maybe she'd find a back entrance. Kira hesitates one more moment, then slips over to the back alley instead. Walking down it, she finds a door near the back. It was locked, but one good twist snapped the lock and allowed her entry into the backstage area of the old theatre. Kira slips inside, silently shutting the door behind her as she looks around.

What was this? A new toy? A new pawn in the game? The vampire was young and lost it seemed. O what a pity, they all seemed to be these days. Such young lost souls. Sires never took the time to help, bite, suck, blow, run. Seemed to be the way these things worked. She personally had never created another. What another monstrosity like herself. Nooooo...She was quite out of the ordinary already for being a vampire.
She could smell the girl from here, she had taken blood very recently. In fact. It was so recent she could tell that it was a child's. A child with the plague but a child none the less. Sick. She would have to teach that woman some manners. Though if they were here then that meant that they were all going to try to stop ruthless killing. It wouldn't do well to ruthlessly kill another vampire and doom yourself, now would it? Man she talked to herself a lot.
She shifted into the shadows and appeared behind the vampire where the door had closed. "Be very quite and reveal not that I am here. A child's blood? My dear you have sinned. No judgement though shall I pass on you, one so young.." she said softy her voice was like the wind. She gently placed her hand on her shoulder and turned her ever so softly putting her finger to her lips for she did not want her to scream.

Kira did not sense the other vampire, young as she was for one of their race, until the woman was right behind her and speaking softly into her ear. Kira jumps, then cringes at the woman's words, ashamed that another knew of what she had done only minutes ago. Her blackest moment, it might have been, after days of trying to starve herself and failing... except for the fact that she had done this before, making the same attempt, with the same sad outcome. It had not been the first child she had killed, sad as it was to admit, but hopefully it would be her last. Oh how she hoped it would be her last... though she feared it would not be. She hated to steal away such innocent life... and yet she did so repeatedly, almost drawn to it, as her sire must have been to her.
As the woman turns her around to face her, Kira's gaze lowered, refusing to meet the woman's eyes. Kira could instinctively tell that the woman was older and wiser and more powerful, so she did not try to fight her, like she might have, as the last spoken words floated in her mind. "I... did not mean to take her life... I couldn't control myself. She would have died soon of the plague anyways." Kira replies softly with a mental voice, instead of a spoken one, so as not to give them away. The voice showed as much regret and sadness as a vocal one would have. She hated giving such excuses, for that was what they were. She had not believed them when she'd tried to tell herself them. How could she expect this woman to believe her? She was weak and pathetic, unable to fight the blood lust at all.... but then again, that was why she was here. She hoped to change that.

Max smiled and thought for a moment before moving forward. Her gentle hands touched the soft chin of the one before her and raised it to meet her eyes. Her black and soulless eyes. 'I know what she suffered of my child.' she said softly. 'To feel guilt is good. It means that there is still something humane inside of you. I told you I would not judge you and I have not.' she said speaking mentally, kindly, to her. Her head cocked a bit to the side though as she listened to what was going on around them. Her hand gently let go of the womans face. 'I too have killed my fair share of innocents and I have no blame to put on you. If you want to control your lust, then we'll just have to work on that now won't we.' she said softly smiling to her. She looked the woman up and down for a moment before looking around her a little bit. She did not like to be seen by others who were also older. Mm and she did not know the atmosphere of this place yet.

"Come back here you bilge rat!"

The agitated screams of the fat baker could be heard all down the crowded streets of London. He had the typical appearance of a baker as well. Flower down his front, that white coat and long hat, the only thing he was missing was a beard. Way ahead of him, a skinny, tall girl slipped unnoticed into the crowded street ahead. Stopping, the baker looked around wildly, receiving awkward looks from the passing shoppers and merchants.

Gah, gtg AGAIN....Shall finish this post later.....))

Running through the crowd, past merchants and fishers, travelers and trainers, the young girl turned into an alley way, collapsing to the stone floors, she sighed, clutching to the large, luscious loaf of bread as if it was her salvation. Looking around, she tore a piece off, stuffing it into her mouth as quickly as she could without gagging on it. It wasn't the best stuff, but it was certainly edible, and that was all she wanted. Something to fill that painful, endless gap in her stomach that seemed to always be there. Her mouth watered, and perhaps her eyes did too, for she couldn't see anything but the beautiful wheat bread in her grimy fingertips. Her hands were covered in dirt and calluses, and her hair was ratty and out of condition. It was also gray, which was pretty odd for a teenager, even an orphan, to have. Her eyes was steel gray as well. Scars covered her body, trailing her arms and legs, and under her cloth, all the way up her back and front. Perhaps she was a slave runaway, perhaps she was a prison escap-ie. She didn't know. She didn't remember much other than waking up one night, covered in blood stained bandages, laying out in the streets. Honestly, all she cared about was getting food, and surviving until her next meal. She was known as the scum of the city, but what could she do? Just shrivel up and die? Everyone in the streets, with their jewels and fur coats made her sick. She doubted they had ever worked a day in their lives. Maybe if they lived a day in her life they'd stop shooting her looks of disgust whenever they walked pass her on their way to work, or to dinner dates. They were the scum if you asked her. Then again, no body ever asked her because, once again, she was useless scum.

Max turned her nose twitching a bite. "Do you smell that love dove? Smells like someone starving to death. Mm well if we are going to start redeeming ourselves for our sins tonight may be a good start. Lets go see what it tis." she said grabbing the womans hands and dragging her into the shadows with her. Whenever they could see again and the blackness of the shadow had evaporated they were standing before a girl who was shamelessly shoving bread down her throat. Of course what was she to make of them, they had just appeared from no where.
Max found it unusual that she should take such attraction to someone so quickly. But the fact of the matter was that there was something special about the vampire woman beside her. Or at least that's what it felt like. I would comfort her, but as it is. I am a rather scary person. Would you be a doll and comfort the poor child. Max hanging back within the shadows. She was watching the vampire woman with one thing on her mind. What exactly was her name?

Kira hadn't known what to make of the other vampiress. She had never, in forty years, interacted with another vampire past acknowledging each other in common society, had never been with other vampires while acting like vampires. It was... different... unexpected. This older vampiress would help her deal with the bloodlust? Kira couldn't believe it.
Before they could explore the theatre, the other vampire seemed to smell something, and Kira wasn't far behind. Kira turns her head and sniffs, trying to figure it out, before the woman suddenly grabbed her hands. Eyes wide, Kira couldn't help letting out a small noise of surprise as she was pulled into the shadows along with the other woman.
Moments later, Kira blinks and shakes her head, then looks down at the scraggly young girl. Her hair and clothes, if they could be called clothes, were a mess. The girl was obviously a thief, probably an orphan. At the other vampiress's suggestion, Kira hesitates and glances back at her, unsure of what to do. She enjoyed caring for children.... but this was not a normal case of simply offering words of comfort and hugging them. This wasn't cheering a child up over a scrapped knee, or a spilled ice cream, and the girl hardly looked like a child. In fact, she only looked a few years younger than how Kira looked, though the age difference was actually much wider than that. 'What should I say?' Kira asks, almost nervously, glancing back down at the thief. Who was to say she wouldn't star freaking out at the sight of Kira and this other vampiress anyways? Who said she even wanted comfort? This seemed a bit silly to her.
