When a Tallion becomes and adult, they have the opportunity to produce children. In order to do this, two owners must both decide that they want their Tallions to mate. There are no same-sex methods yet, so the two Tallions must be of opposite gender. Once the Tallions are chosen, the owners must make an appointment with one of the breeding consultants. At the appointment, both owners will roll a die to determine whether the breeding was successful. Both horses must test positive for a successful breeding. The chance of success also depends on how many times the Tallion has had children.
First Pregnancy - Roll one 10-sided dice. If the number is odd, the test is positive. Even tests negative.
Second Pregnancy - Roll one 12-sided dice. If the number is a multiple of 3 (3, 6, 9, 12), then the test is positive. Anything else is negative.
Third/Final Pregnancy - Roll one 100-sided dice. If the number is a multiple of 5 (number ending in a zero or five), then the test is positive. Anything else is negative.
If the Tallion is pregnant, owners need to pay attention to the following.
- After conception, both Tallions cannot race. The female will obviously be with child, and the male will not race out of sympathy.
wink
- It could take up to several weeks for the baby(s) to be born, during which time both parents are unable to race.
- Parents can also not race for a week after the infant is born.
Once the Tallion(s) is/are born, parents may decide what to do with the infants. They can choose to keep, sell, or give them away. If kept, the owners must pay a 3k gold fee per infant Tallion for registration. If given away, either the old owners, or the new one, must pay the 3k fee. If the owner chooses to sell the infant(s), they must consult with StallionBattalion before doing so. All sales WILL be made through the StallionBattaloin. We do not allow private distribution.
Other things of note...
- Tallions many only reproduce 3 times.
- After the third pregnancy, the Tallion is also retired from racing.
