We start with the general assumption that if you haven't played at least one of the Golden Sun video games (for Gameboy advanced and Nintendo DS), you are familiar enough with it that you feel comfortable RPing in the general universe. If you don't qualify for this right away, do some google searches, both web and image, check wikipedia for general info, and the Golden Sun specific wiki for more specifics, though in the end, nothing really beats actually playing the games.
That aside this will be a multi-part, DMed (one or more crew members will be 'directing' the flows of the story to make sure things don't derail), Role play in the Golden Sun Universe, set in the hypothetical distant past before the sealing of alchemy, and in truth before even the full completion of all of the lighthouses, and deals with the events leading up to that sealing. The world of Weyward shows the roots of what it will become as seen in the games, but is in it's own right distinctly different from the 'present' Weyward of the games.
This will be a dynamic rules thread, in that these points are not concrete but open to debate, however you better have a damn good reason to start a debate.
Rules
1. The rules are subject to change at any time, most likely with, but even without warning, and it is everyone's individual responsibility to keep up to date with them.
2. Follow ToS
3. God-modding will not be tolerated. If you feel someone is god-modding, pm an admin citing the infraction and we will look into the conflict, though we may or may not ultimately rule it as God-modding. If you are an admin and suspect god-modding, get another admin's opinion before taking action. The RPer in question is also to be contacted about the potential infraction and is entitled to the opportunity to defend themselves.

Profiles
- Profiles must include a minimum of:
>Name
>Element
>Age
>Class
>Alignment
>Personality Notes
Explanation of alignment
Alignment covers the good/evil side. there are two components for anyone unfamiliar with classical alignments and you pick one from each: Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic; and Good, Neutral, Evil
The second generally defines your motives, while the first defines your methods.
The epitome of Lawful Good is the paladin: the holy warrior who is obliged to do good within the jurisdiction of the law. While he or she may witness injustices, if they are beyond what he or she is permitted to do by law, he or she will (begrudgingly) refrain.
Chaotic Evil would be someone who does wrong any and every possible way they can.
In contrast Lawful Evil would be a tyrant, someone who systematically spreads evil by manipulation of the law.
Similarly, Chaotic Good, would someone who does good any and every way they can. Chaotic Good often preaches "the ends justify the means."
Neutral neutral, otherwise referred to as "True Neutral" basically does whatever he or she wants however he or she wants to do it, regardless of whether it does good or harm.
Solid Snake in the Box: O hai! I'll be popping in every now and then with side comments which hopefully Kiedy doesn't see. Anywho: Some people put up their class ranks to reflect what their class with be in the future with the amount of Djinn they eventually get. Some even include full on classes for all combinations!
Kied: Snakey's the only one who's done this so far so if you're feeling particularly overachieving feel free to emulate him.
>Personality Summary - Just as it says. a Few sentences describing your character's personalities and how they react to certain things.
>Biography - essentially the biography proves that your character has the depth to adequately role play on equal ground with other characters. This will screen out god-mods, and insufficiently developed characters. Personally, I would like to see goals and motivations here as well, especially for new, incoming characters, as knowing those makes it easier for us to introduce new characters into the RP more quickly and in a fluid and natural manner.
Solid Snake in the Box: And not required, some people have also written first person narratives about their characters past, which gives us a better window into that characters thought process and personality...just a lil tid bit I wanted to mention. :3
> Stats - just the rough estimate of power. Go by the stats of Golden Sun and be fair and logical based on your class and style ( Ex a healer with high attack and low PP is just odd.)
> Psynergy - try and put psynergy fitting to your class/element, but feel obligated and free to be creative. They don't have to be just from the Games! Be sure to tell us the name stats, and effects of psynergy you have created and also currently existing ones. Check other people's profiles: You might have similar custom psynergy and might want to rename yours accordingly.
> Djinn - Same thing from the above. Entry Level Characters can only start with one Djinn. As the roleplay goes farther down the more djinn people can start with. Still Currently one, unless with good reason. Make sure to tell us it's ability and name if you created it or if it's in the game. Check other people's profiles in case multiple people have the same djinn.
- Profiles may include more than the above! The more the better.
Name:
Age:
Weight:
Element:
Class:
Alignment:
Personality Summary:
Biography:
Narrative Biography: (optional but much loved! <3)
Stats:
Psynergy:
Djinn:
Other?: (because you always need an other section!)
- You may not have more than 1 character without an admin's consent. such consent should not be given until an RPer has proven that he or she can handle more than two characters and explained why he or she needs/wants more than 2 characters. Both antagonists and protagonists are included in this tally.
Solid Snake in the Box: You also don't HAVE to start with a Djinn of your element! Feel free to be creative!
Creative liscense
See this thread.
This includeds custom psynergy, djinn, equipment, etc.
Bans and expulsions
You may be at risk of being expelled from the guild if:
- You have been inactive for a period of at least one month.
Quote:
Inactive is defined as follows:
>No RP posts over a month
AND
>Fewer than 5 other posts in the guild over a month
If you anticipate an extended absence, let us know and you will be granted amnesty. Also, if you are expelled for inactivity that you could not help (i.e. sudden and extended loss of internet), then PM an admin explaining what happened and resubmit a join request.

- You have been disruptive to the guild environment and/or the RP itself, including but not limited to, god-modding, trolling, flaming, or harassing a fellow guild member in the guild. Outside the guild, you'd have to contact a gaia mod/admin, since that's not within our jurisdiction. Offenders will be warned before disciplinary action is taken.
